The thing about disposable diapers is that they are so… disposable. Seems like I can’t ever get a big enough stockpile; the kiddos go through them too fast! This week you can get a great deal on Huggies at King Soopers (Kroger affiliate).
The deal is this: through December 23rd they’re running a promo for buy $16 worth, save $3 instantly at checkout (limit two rewards per transaction). Jumbo packs are $9.99, the large refill packs of wipes are $5.99. Ah, yes, that’s cute. If you bought one package of diapers and one refill pack of wipes your total would be $15.98, two cents under what you need to get the $3 discount. (They’re not stupid!) Regular tubs of 64 to 80 count wipes are $2.59 (regular price).
Normally I’d try to get as close as possible to $16 to get the maximum percentage of a discount, but in this case I think it’s best to buy two packages of diapers @ $9.99 each for a total of $19.98. You’ll get the automatic $3 discount and hopefully you have some manufacturer’s coupons to use in conjuction.
I had two $1.50 off Huggies diapers coupons AND loaded a $2 off Huggies Newborn Gentle Care diapers Shortcuts coupon to my shopper’s card. Here’s how it went:
Two packages diapers @ 9.99 each = $19.98
Two $1.50 off one coupons = – $3.00
One $2 off Shortcuts coupon = -$2.00
One $3 automatic discount for purchasing $16+ = -$3.00
Total after all coupons and discounts: $11.98 for two packages Huggies diapers, or $5.99 each.
I’m also planning to do this deal several more times and send in for the Caregiver’s Marketplace rebate for another dollar off each package, so after that’s completed they will have cost me $4.99 each. That’s a great price for Huggies diapers!
Update: If you’ve never used Shortcuts.com I’d encourage you to read my post about how it works here.

To further sweeten the deal load e-coupons on your U-Promise Account $1 regular $1.50 supreme. Also cellfire has loadable e-coupons for the same amount. A very sweet deal when all are added together!
Sherri,
Read the details at the Caregiver’s site, but you should be able to submit as many rebates as you want as long as you submit at least five items at once. I believe it’s a continuing program.
I don’t know how old your children are, but do you have a newborn? I was wondering if the Newborn Gentle Care coupon only worked with newborn diapers. What size did you buy?
Jeans99: Too much! Too much! I thought this was complicated enough as it is! Of course I’ll be checking out the Upromise coupons, thanks for the heads up. :)
Christina: I have a kid in size 5 pullups for nighttime, one in size 3-4 diapers 24/7, and I’m nine months pregnant with number three! I did buy size Newborn Gentle Care just in case that’s the only size it worked on. It would be great for a baby shower gift if you can’t use that size yourself!
I like also that Huggies have the “boxtops for education”.
I just submitted my caregivers marketplace rebate already. Can I submit another? Also, will they start the rebate program over for the new year or was it a one time offer?
