I’d like recommendations for a moms group to join in the Springs area. Preferably one without too many rules attached to it. One that I can bring my 2 year old daughter for play groups from time to time. Maybe even some functions that the whole family can attend.
We’re finishing our basement and replacing an old water heater with a larger one. I know a water heater and basement are technically supposed to be permitted, but we don’t see the need for paying for a permit.
This week at King Soopers, you can get Van Camp’s Pork & Beans for $0.39 in the Buy 10, Save $4 savings event.
Canned pork and beans can be heated and served as-is, but they’re easily dressed up with a few extra ingredients.

Is this for truly “new” homes for first owners of the house itself, or is it anyone who’s purchased a home that’s new to them?
Last summer we took advantage of the program. Since we are on a corner lot we got 3 free trees! From what I remember, its for homes that are 10 years old or newer. Typical homes get 1 tree, corner homes get more (depending on the length of the yard. Its only for home with grass between the street and sidewalk. The tree value is $150, and you have a pretty good sized list to choose from. Sadly, one of our free trees was destroyed when the guy with the seizure drove thru our yard…but we will be replacing it as soon as the insurance is sorted out!
Mary, it’s not necessarily for new homes – in my understanding, this just has to be the first request for a tree from the program for a particular address. It’s not limited to the first owner of a home.
There’s also another option if you don’t qualify for the New Home Tree Program, but it says subject to budget restraints so I don’t know if they’re doing that right now. The information for it is available in the above links, though.
