Are you loving Swagbucks yet?

I am loving the Swagbucks toolbar!   Since installing it on September 1st, I’ve been earning at least a couple of Swagbucks every day, just by searching.   The Swagbucks search engine isn’t good for long search strings, like “my wordpress site is pulling from a different database than wp-config.php is pointed to” (that’s what my weekend was like in a nutshell!) but for simple things, it’s awesome.

Need to go to the Southern Living magazine’s website?   Swagbuck “Southern Living” and it will be the first or second result.   Going to Springs Bargains?   Swagbuck “Springs Bargains” and it will pop up!   Check your Google email account? Swagbuck “Gmail” and there you go!   I love the toolbar, because I can still easily access the main search field next to the address bar for those more complicated searches, but I can still earn points for doing more simple searches with Swagbucks.

So, if you earn a couple of Swagbucks per day for searching, that would be around 60 in one month – and it only takes 45 to buy a $5 Amazon gift card!

What are you waiting for?!

Okay, so I’m kind of curious … how many searches equal a swagbuck? Also, I see that swagbucks can be earned by shopping online through their site …. which I just did, but as yet have to receive swagbucks for it … it says you’ll get one SB per $5 spent, so I should have received 5 SB …. any ideas on how long before your account gets credited? Thanks!

    Carrie,
I have “bought” gift cards but have no idea how to use them. Do they mail them to me? It is very confusing. Help! and Thanks!

Brenda, depends on the type of gift card. If it’s an e-gift card, they put the code in your account (go to My Accounts>My Gift Cards). I believe they only do it on the 16th and 30th of the month, so it’s possible they’re not there yet.

If it’s a real gift card, they mail it to you via the address you specified when you ordered your prize.

Thanks, Carrie. I think they are e-cards, so I will check it out tomorrow. Love your blog…so helpful to us newbies to COS. Blessings!

Liz, the number of searches that equals a Swagbuck varies – maybe 5-10??? I honestly don’t know, but I’ve been paying more attention and have been receiving 2-3 each day. I haven’t ever shopped their their site so I don’t know how long it would take those Swagbucks to be credited to your account, but I know with other similar sites it can take several weeks. They wait until your payment has processed and you’ve passed the time for a return or cancellation.
