Think you know the Goodwill stores in Colorado Springs like the back of your hand? You’re going to love this giveaway… but you’re going to have to work for it!
If you’ve shopped at Colorado Springs Goodwill stores, you know that items are tagged with a combination of different colored tags. Every week, certain color tags are 30% off, some are 50% off, and some are 75% off. The next week, the tags that were 30% off go to 50%, 50% off tags go to 75% off, and anything that’s left of the 75% off goes to the Goodwill Outlet store and sells for $1.
So, Goodwill has agreed to give a $20 gift certificate to someone who can correctly identify the list of colors and their rotation. Is it Black Blue Yellow Green Orange? Or Green Yellow Pink Orange Red? Or Pink Purple Black White Blue? Hmm… Now we’re really testing your bargain shopping skills!
To enter, just leave a comment on this post with your best guess of Goodwill’s color rotation. Out of a courtesy to Goodwill, who has been generous to offer a gift certificate, please do not call the stores to ask about the rotation. I don’t want their phones to be ringing off the hook with people just calling to ask about their color rotation! You are more than welcome to go into the store and ask, however.

Well, here goes. I’m pretty sure the rotation is Pink Purple Black White Blue; the other colors just don’t seem right. I’d love to win $20 to Goodwill.
Here’s how I remember the Goodwill colors:
Green-Christmas color (G comes before R)
Red-Christmas color (R follows G in the alphabet)
White-Winter after Christmas (and it’s in alphabetical order, still GRW)
Purple-Easter color-(P comes before Y)
Yellow-Easter color (Y comes after P alphabetically)
Then it starts all over with Green, etc.
The colors are green, red, white, purple, yellow, but I’m not sure about the order. :)
It says it goes to a clearance center when it goes $1 is that one specific store or stays in the store and has a certain area? I love shopping at all of the goodwills and ARCs.

Goodwill is one of our favorite shopping places. We love the store on Constitution! They are the best!! The colors are green, red, white, purple and yellow. What’s your favorite purchase from there? Mine is a rice cooker which makes cooking brown rice a cinch.

Goodwill’s Outlet Store is located at 3506 N. El Paso St. just north of Fillmore. Everything in the store is $1. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop in and find some great treasures for a buck a piece.

I love to go find great deals at Goodwill. I am going to be honest and just go with the majority. Never really paid attention to the color rotation. Just feel happy to find what i like and have the tag on sale :-) So green, red, white, purple, and yellow.

The best thing I bought at Goodwill was a Flavorwave oven for $29. Tested it out the night I bought it and haven’t looked back. Sure beats paying full price for one.
