New store opening: XS Threadz

Just got an email from Cathy Gardner – she and her husband are opening up a new recycled clothing store called X S ThreadZ in the new Costco shopping center on North Nevada, next to Chipotle (5102 N. Nevada).  She said this:

Our store is primarily for male and female pre-teens, teens to 20 somethings… but there are some things that everyone else will enjoy.  It is much like a Plato’s Closet or Buffalo Exchange  where we pay cash instantly when people bring in their name brand pre-worn/or new clothes.

Sounds like a great new place to discover for bargain hunters in Colorado Springs!  They open tomorrow – Friday, November 13th – stop by and see them!  Psst – Chipotle opens  right next door tomorrow, too, so stop by and see both of them! I’m hoping to check it out soon and I’ll let you know what I think.

By the way, do you guys like hearing about stuff like this?  I enjoy writing posts about deals at big national chains, but what I really love is when I can find somewhere local that offers a great deal, and write about them.  Here’s two things you can do to keep announcements like this one coming: one, tell the owner/manager when you heard about a deal on Springs Bargains so that they understand that it’s a great way to reach bargain lovers in Colorado Springs.

Two, tell any businesses you frequent about Springs Bargains!  Many small business owners still turn to traditional media outlets to announce their big events, which of course is fine, but Springs Bargains is a high-trafficked local site with thousands of dedicated readers and I’m pretty sure a great deal of business is sent to retailers through this site.

Keep the local tips coming, if you’re a business owner or just a fan!

  1. Very excited about this store!

I tell people about you all the time, Carrie! I need you give me some cards to hand out so I don’t have to give them an old napkins that I’ve written on!

  2. I’ve plastered you as much as I can! With the giveaway, it was so much better than “traditional” means that can cost in the thousands that sole owners like me don’t have the cash to do. All my business is word of mouth and being here helped me in more ways than I could thank you for!

  3. I love when you post about our locally-owned stores! I love to support these businesses and to hear about them! :) I always tell them I heard about them through you and they say – “Carrie is so nice, she’s great!” I hope you know how loved you are!!!
