Time for a Thanksgiving version of the Reader Requests feature – some of you want to let someone else do the Thanksgiving cooking and clean up for you and want to know where to go out to eat for Thanksgiving dinner in Colorado Springs.
Alice asked this via Facebook:
We are trying to go out for Thanksgiving dinner. We want to go out to a buffet (there are 5 of us, 3 which are teenagers). Country Buffet is $13.20 for each and we have $50.00 to spend. HELP! Any suggestions?
And, Ann said:
I am wondering what restaurants offer good Thanksgiving dinners. I know La Petite Maison has a $25 3 course and Briarhurst Manor has a $29 buffet, but want to explore all my options!
Got any suggestions for Alice and Ann? Please help them out by leaving a comment with any information on restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner in Colorado Springs.
By the way, as a former restaurant server who has worked on Thanksgiving, let me encourage you to tip your server well on Thanksgiving, even if it’s a buffet! They’re serving you dinner so that you don’t have to cook and clean up, and are likely missing out on family celebrations of their own to serve you.

Mimi’s is one of our favorite places for a holiday meal. It’s not buffet style but is a full meal at a reasonable price. I like it because they’ll take reservations (it may be too late at this point) without charging $40/person.
CRACKER BARREL!!!!!!!
Served Thursday, November 26th, beginning at 11a.m.
$8.99 Adult • $4.49 Child See their website for what they are serving, but it looks so yummy! http://www.crackerbarrel.com/menu.cfm?doc_id=1281
Ted’s Montana grill is open, I am not sure of the details.
Military can eat at the dining facility on post (DFAC). They go all out in Thanksgiving dinner prep, and you can sit with the single soldiers who are away from family and cheer them up!
Country Buffet does have a great set up for Thanksgiving! I know the dinner at the AFA has a good set up as well you should call ahead to see if there are reservations or a charge for non military since a lot of families do come in town for dinner.
Don’t forget Briarhurst Manor – $29 and The Cliff House – $30 in Manitou Springs.
We decided on Mimi’s which doesn’t make me totally happy but it is what it is (long story). I’d personally like to recommend The Stagecoach Inn. We had Thanksgiving dinner there three years ago and it was very good. It’s a plated buffet and they’re willing to bring you all the seconds and thirds you want. It’s also fairly reasonably priced. As of Saturday, they still had room.
We have eaten at the Sunbird restuarant for past Thanksgivings. It has a beautiful view and wonderful food. It is a little pricey though, something like $25 per adult.
