General Grocery and Household

Kellogg’s Special K Cereal or Bars $2 when you buy 5
Use B1G1 free printable (registration required) – thanks for the link, Julie!
Net cost at checkout: $5-6 for five boxes if you print two coupons. Net price will depend on whether they take off $2 or $2.50 for the free box of cereal.
Rating: 5 – Special K doesn’t go this low very often.

Proctor and Gamble Sale: spend $40 on P&G products save $10 instantly, limit one reward per transaction.
Rating varies depending on what you buy and what coupons you have. Remember that the $10 of $40 is the equivalent of a 25% savings, plus any coupons you may have. I’m thinking there may be some great deals, particularly if you are brand-loyal to P&G products.

I can’t say for sure whether or note Albertsons is doubling coupons this week – if they are, that makes the P&G sale much better! If you find out for sure, let us know by leaving a comment!

  1. Marie says:

Don’t know what the official stance on coupon doubling this week is, but I shopped the P&G sale yesterday at the Austin Bluffs store and all my coupons doubled/tripled.

  2. Sarah H says:

I am definitely going to be getting some of that chicken! I would also love to hear if anyone gets some good P&G deals.

  3. Julie says:

I’m thinking the yoplait yogurt is a good deal at 10 for $4. I have a coupon for 40 cents off six. If they double up to a dollar that’s 10 for $3. 30 cents each for yoplait is pretty good in my book.

  4. Kathy says:

I went in to Albies at GoG and Centennial last night for chicken breasts and Pillsbury Crescent rolls… used a coupon for the rolls at the self checkout. It did not double my coupon. Don’t know if that means the doubling is “no longer” or if it was a fluke, since we didn’t converse with a cashier.

  5. Genevieve says:

Thanks so much for this! We don’t have an Albertsons nearby, but we were heading into Denver to see friends and stopped on the way. We took advantage of the B1G2 pork roasts and saved over $35 on that alone! Add in the limes, apple juice, tomatoes and some cheap frozen pizzas at 3/$5, we ended up saving more than we spent! And we’re set on pork roasts for quite awhile, too!

  6. Babette says:

The Albies at Union & Research is still multipying coupons :-)

  7. Ashley says:

Does anyone know if the P&G discount comes before or after coupons?

    • Carrie says:

Ashley, you can almost always hit the minimum purchase amount and then deduct coupons to bring your total even lower.

  8. Ashley says:

I went to the Albies on Dublin and they are now all out of the chicken and pork. The butcher said they would have more tomorrow. I also did the P&G sale and did amazing with the B1G1 free coupons on feminine products! After coupons I only paid $10 for $42 worth of products.

  9. Angela W says:

Albertsons on Centennial and Garden of the Gods did NOT double my coupons. GRRRR!
