Upcoming Build and Grow clinics from Lowe’s

lowes build and grow clinic gingerbread house

Lowe’s and Home Depot both have free workshops for kids this Saturday: Lowe’s has a free kids’ Build and Grow clinic from  10-11 AM, and Home Depot has a free kids’ workshop from 9 AM to noon.

At Lowe’s, you’ll be building the gingerbread house pictured above.  It’s free, but you’ll need to register online ahead of time.  Home Depot’s workshops don’t require registration, but you can find more info here.  They’ll be building a wagon for this month’s workshop.

The next Lowe’s Build and Grow workshop is Saturday, December 12th (more info) and Home Depot’s will be the first Saturday in January.  Mark your calendars!

  1. Has anyone else tried to register for Lowes? I thought it would be a perfect craft for my kids, however when I try, it only brings up Castle Rock and north locations.

  2. I’ve signed up online for the Fountain location several times!

  3. I just took a peek at the registration. It appears as though the Colorado Springs locations are doing the Christmas ornaments, and the gingerbread house is being done in Castle Rock & other locations further out. Hope this helps!

  4. I had the same problem as Scheri. I’m guessing the one in the springs is booked by now…

    • You might want to try calling the location nearest you. I know the one at Powers and Constition did it on a first come first serve basis. Not sure if they have changed that or not recently.

  5. Michaels is also doing a craft that kids can build this saturday from 10-1. You can find it on thier website.

  6. I think that Kim is right, that the Lowes is probably booked in Colorado Springs already. That happened to me once and I just called the store and said I couldn’t register online because their store wasn’t coming up, and they registered me over the phone. It is for the first 50 to register AND show up. So, it is possible that you could register and still not get to do it. We always try to get there right at 10, so we can be sure to get in.
