Target toy clearance: headed to 75%?

Rachael lives in Aurora and emailed me to let me know that their Target stores have toys marked down to 75% off!  She said they also had some shoes marked 75% off.

I asked readers on Facebook what the status was here at local Targets and here’s what they said (yesterday):

Tacy – S. Academy wasn’t a few days ago–they were still at 50%. But that was…Monday, I think.

Meredith – Went today to Target and some of the toys were clearanced at 75% off. They are actually having quite a few sales on other stuff too. Saw a 9 piece Calphalon cook set 75% off, was so tempted to buy it. This was at the Target by the Citadel.

Christine – Target on Powers was still at 50% this morning. Hoping they go to 75% tomorrow!

Valerie – The Target on North Powers was still at 50% yesterday. They had a fabulous selection on the 50% off kids clothes and coats though!

So, I’m guessing that most of the Targets may go to 75% off today, although it usually depends on how much stock they have left to get rid of.  Keep your eyes peeled for the shoe clearance, too – last year I got a pair of snow boots for $10.  I’d waited for two winters to get a good deal on boots; seems like they never hit clearance past 30 or 50%!

I was at the Target off of Circle yesterday and it looked like the toys were only clearanced to 50%. I spent most of my time in the shoe department! They had some shoes clearanced 50-75% off. They had a pretty good selection of children’s shoes (although mostly girls) including snow boots, dress shoes for girls, and fashion boots. I snagged a few pairs for my daughter for this winter and next!

I was at Target on Academy around 5 Pm yesterday. They were still at 50% for the toys. There was a Wok for 75% off! (around $6) and some shoes at 75% off! I got some snow boots for my little boy ($5!!)

Two winters ago I got myself boots for $6 and for my daughter for $4 at Target!

Was at Union and Academy’s Target Tuesday and it was still 50% off toys, and will check again soon. Headed to S. Circle this morning to scope it out again. That store on Tues. had 3 racks of 75% off clothes in the bigger girls area though, like the XS-XL area (XS being 4-5). I grabbed 2 cute long-sleeved shirts for $1.74 each. Also saw boys Cherokee coats at 75% off that day. I’m so excited to see the reports on this blog entry so I’ll know where to go when we get the word!! :)

Target on Powers has 75% off toys. I bought a bunch this morning. It was starting to get pretty picked over and people were literally filling up carts full of toys. They did have two different Leapster games for around $6. I got some things for my daughter’s doll house for around $3, a big My Little Pony Set for $11 and a big Polly Pocket set for around $8. They had way more girl stuff than boy stuff and they did have several games on clearance.

I should specify-this was Powers and North Carefree.

I went to 4 different Targets this morning, all had toys at 75% off!

What part of the store is the 75% off Calphalon? I want it! (and which store) THANKS!

I got back about an hour ago from the Target on North Powers (& Briargate?) and their toys were 75% and going quickly. There were 4 employees trying to condense everything and they finally gave up because people were buying things as quickly as they were moving them. The toys were already down to one aisle and the pickings were getting slim. I got a couple things but wish I had gone earlier in the day.

Target on S. Circle is 75% off and I just got a whole lotta stuff! Getting picked over, but just to confirm. They also had some clothes and shoes 75% off so I got some of those too, but also a bit picked over. Any word on Target on Union and Academy?

The one off Circle was 75% off toys this afternoon when we were there.
