Are you using Swagbucks yet? It’s a search engine that allows you to “search and win” by awarding Swagbucks when you perform searches using their engine. You collect Swagbucks and then redeem them for cool prizes, like gift cards! It only takes 450 Swagbucks to get a free $5 Amazon.com gift card, and you get 30 just for signing up.
Here’s my Top 5 6 Ways To Earn Swagbucks. There’s more ways than one to earn!
The Swagbucks toolbar.
This is hands-down my favorite relatively new addition to Swagbucks. They debuted it last fall and it totally makes it easy to search via their search engine. It goes right under your address bar and has a search field, keeps a running total of the Swagbucks you’ve earn, and has an inbox and links to various parts of the Swagbucks site.
So, install the toolbar and you can easily use the Swagbucks search engine right from your browser without having to navigate to another site. Another cool thing about the toolbar is that they release codes good for free Swagbucks via the toolbar. Watch the inbox and when it alerts you to having a new message, it will quite often contain a code for a free Swagbuck!
Use Swagbucks for your everyday searching.
Use the Swagbucks search engine to perform your every day searches. It’s a “hybird” search engine, using results from Google and Ask.com, and interspersing with sponsored links. If you’ve got a longtail search like “how do I figure out the percentage savings of my grocery total”, it’s probably best to use Google. But for easy searches, use Swagbucks!
I usually earn a couple of Swagbucks per day just by doing easy searches. Going to Facebook? Use the toolbar to search Facebook. Heading over to Springs Bargains? Search Springs Bargains and it will pop right up. This is the easiest, best way to rack up Swagbucks if you’re just getting started.
Update: here’s many more tips on how to refer friends!
When I first started using Swagbucks, I didn’t get how the refer-a-friend program works. Once I finally figured it out, I was hooked! Whenever you refer a friend to Swagbucks, you earn Swagbucks while they earn, up to their first 1000 Swagbucks! So, if you refer 5 friends and they keep on using Swagbucks until they get up to having earn 1000 Swagbucks each, you’ll get 5000 Swagbucks!
Once you’ve signed up for Swagbucks for Swagbucks, you can invite your friends via email or if you have a website or blog, they’ve got banners you can use to promote Swagbucks and refer people that way, too.
Read the Swagbucks blog and play Twitter Trivia.
Occasionally on the official Swagbucks blog, they’ll release a code for a free Swagbuck, or give you a hint as to where to find one. If you’re a Swagbuck-a-holic, it’s worth checking in every day to see if they’re giving out free bucks!
Or, if you’re on Twitter and, unlike me, are actually good at trivia, try playing Twitter Trivia on Thursdays from Swagbucks! Follow them on Twitter and watch their updates on Thursday for a chance to answer and win. Here’s how they award prizes:
Question 1: First 4 correct responders win 50 Swag Bucks each
Question 2: First 2 correct responders win 50 Swag Bucks each
Question 3: First correct responder wins 100 Swag Bucks
Shop through Swagbucks.
This is something I’ve never personally done because in general, there are better cash back bonuses through places like Ebates or ShopAtHome. But, if you do any online shopping, try shopping through Swagbucks. All you have to do is go Swagbucks.com, click on “Shop and Earn”, and find the store you want to purchase from. Click on the link that says “Start shopping and earning Swagbucks” and when you make a purchase, you’ll earn 10 Swagbucks for every $5 you spend. If you don’t want to mess with other cashback programs, but still use Swagbucks, why not try it?
If there’s a Swagcode to be found, you can find out where it is in the Swidget! Go to the Swidget and click on “Swagcodes” and if there’s a code currently available, it will tell you where to go to get it. You can always access the Swidget here, or on the sidebar on SpringsBargains under the “Swagcodes” tab.
So there you have it – my top 5 6 ways to earn Swagbucks! If you’re already using Swagbucks, I hope they’ll help you earn more rewards. If you haven’t used Swagbucks yet, sign up now and get thirty free ones to start!
