Albertsons highlights this week: organic sour cream, Skippy peanut butter, and Scott toilet paper!

Some great prices on general grocery and household at Albertsons this week!  Too bad they’re not doubling coupons this week, there would be some nice freebies.

The inside of the ad has several 10 for $10 sections that may have more good deals in them than what’s listed here, but it’s just a pciture of the products, not a description, so it’s hard to say exactly what’s included.  By the way, I haven’t had a chance to look at the other ads yet, so be sure to check them out to see who has the lowest prices this week.  I’ll have the other deals up later!

Check out that price on organic sour cream!  These deals run February 24-March 2.

Meat, Dairy, and Frozen

Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts $1.88/lb
Rating: 3

Atlantic Salmon Fillets, Farm Raised $4.99/lb
Rating: 3.5 – this is a decent deal, but it’s gone over $1 lower per pound so I’m holding out for a better price.

Assorted Pork Loin Chops 99¢/lb
Rating: 4

Premium Lobster Tails (2-3 oz) $2.50
Rating: 4-5

Extra Large Raw Shrimp (26/30 ct, sold in a 2 lb bag) $3.99/lb
Rating: 3-4 – shrimp is so hard to rate with all the different sizes, but these are pretty big and don’t often go lower.

Honeysuckle White 93% Lean Ground Turkey $1
Rating: 5?  The ad doesn’t say what size, but I’m guessing these are the 1 lb packages?

Land O Lakes Fresh Buttery Taste Spread (15 oz) $1
Use 55¢/1 printable from Coupons.com
Net cost at checkout: 45¢
Rating: 4.5 – I think we’ve gotten these for free before so I don’t think I’d go crazy with stocking up, but who knows when “free” will come around again!

Shamrock Farms ORGANIC Sour Cream (24 oz) $1.99
Rating: 5?  This seems like an awesome price for organic!

Albertsons Gallon Milk $1.99
Rating: 3-4 – pretty typical sale price these days, which is a really awesome thing!

Produce

Red, Yellow or Orange Bell Peppers $1 each
Rating: 3

Clementine Tangerines (3 lb) $2.99
Rating: 4

General Grocery and Household

Kellogg’s Cereal (12.2-14 oz) $1.75 each when you buy 4 with in-ad coupon
There are printables at Coupons.com, RedPlum.com, and Kelloggs.com – Albertsons is back and forth on whether or not they allow an in-ad coupon with a manufactuere’s coupon, so I’m going to let you figure this one out on your own. :)

Skippy Peanut Butter $1
Use 60¢/1 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: 40¢
Rating: 5 – note that the coupon expires 2/28

American Beauty Pasta (16 oz) $1
Rating: 3

Hunt’s Spaghetti Sauce (26-26.5 oz) $1
Rating: 3

Knorr Rice or Pasta Sides (4-6.4 oz) $1
Use 60¢/2 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: 70¢ each
Rating: 3 – note that the coupon expires 2/28

Calidad Corn Tortillas (30 ct) or Flour Tortillas (10 ct) $1
Rating: 4?  Not sure what size these are.

Scott Toilet Paper (4 pack) $1
Buy two and use insert coupon for $1 off 8 or more rolls?
Net cost at checkout: 50¢ each
Rating: 5 – please note that I am not sure if this is how this coupon is intended to be used.  The wording is different than saying  “save $1 on an 8-roll or larger package”, but I’m not sure what the manufacturer intended with this one.  It may beep and not go through, and if so, it’s definitely not intended to be used on two 4-packs.

Suave Deodorant $1
Use 75¢/1 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: 25¢
Rating: 4 – this is a 4 because we can quite often get it free at King Soopers.

  1. Sarah H says:

Would you say the toilet paper is still a good deal even without the coupon?

    • Carrie says:

*maybe* – these are only single rolls, and I think when we get those sales on Quilted Northern (or others) for around $5 for an eight roll pack those are probably a better deal, since those are usually larger rolls.

Toilet paper is one of those things that is super hard to compare!

  2. Susan says:

I don’t know if this is considered a good deal but I was just there and was planning on picking up a 4 pack of their cinnamon rolls that are on sale for $1 and found that every pack has a $1 coupon on another bakery item. So – I got 8 cinnamon rolls for $1. They are calling it B1G1 with a handwritten sign.

  3. Susan says:

I forgot to mention I was at the Albertsons at Austin Bluffs and Dublin.

  4. Andrea says:

I was just at the Austin Bluffs/Dublin location, and the Scott Extra Soft four pack has a coupon beside it for $0.75/2 of the 4 packs. That makes it $0.63/pk or about $0.16/roll. For Scott that is awesome! Just WATCH what it rings up as, because mine rang up at $1.99. I showed the cashier the paper and she corrected it. She called scanning to fix it, but I would watch in case.

  5. Jenbee says:

Don’t forget about the .55 qpon for the Clemetines if they are the Cuties that are on sale.

  6. Kathy says:

At Albies on Gog/Centennial there is a sign by the Scott’s Tp that says the price was in error, that it should have pictured Kleenex Facial tissues instead! Also, I couldn’t find the Shamrock sour cream anywhere… just milks, etc. on sale but no sour cream. Anyone know where they hide it?
The Honeysuckle ground turkey is 1 lb. chubs.

  7. Amber M says:

The Scott toilet paper is a no go. There’s a paper by the four pack that says it was a misprint in the ad. So I guess those of you that did get the deal just got lucky! Wish I was one of them :)

    • Carrie says:

That really stinks! I had no clue it was a misprint because they *used* to run those single roll 4 packs for $1 all the time. Ah, Albies… :)
