Where’s the cheapest place to buy roses on Valentine’s Day?

Well, I have some bad news and some good news.  The bad news is that I spent about an hour today calling a bunch of florists and finding out how much they were charging for a dozen roses… And then this site was down for about 15 minutes and as as result I couldn’t save the data and all of my work is gone.  Gone.

However, in looking at the bright side, those florists are charging a ton for roses, and it’s just a lot cheaper to buy them at a grocery store. ;) So, though it’s not the complete data I once had, here’s your best prices on Valentine’s Day roses:

Albertsons

Dozen Roses, Bunch: $19.99

Costco

Dozen Roses, Wrapped: $14.99
**Best price in town***

King Soopers

Dozen Long Stem Roses: $19.88
Dozen Roses Arranged in Vase: $39.99 and up

Safeway

Dozen Roses Arranged in Vase: $39.99

Sam’s Club

Dozen Roses: $15.97
Dozen Roses Arranged: $35 and up

Sunflower Market

And here’s some online deals:

Thanks for all your hard work!

The “big flower holidays” always remind me of when I got married, it was the Thursday before Mother’s Day, and I couldn’t find a florist to make a bouquet for me. I ended up making my own, but it still makes me laugh.
