Hot Walgreens deal on Garnier Fructis

Man, I’m not very good about getting Walgreens deals up regularly, but this one was too good not to mention:  buy $20 in Garnier Fructis Hair Care products, get a $10 Register Reward!  Here’s the best way to work this deal:

Buy 6 Garnier Fructis products at 3 for $10 = $20
Use 6 $1/1 insert coupons
Net cost at checkout: $14, plus earn a $10 RR
Net cost after RR: $4 total, or 67¢ each!

I go through this stuff like it’s going out of style, so I’m hoping to get in there this week to take advantage of this smokin’ deal.  Remember that you can’t “roll” Walgreens Register Rewards on the same product and earn another of the same RR.  Here’s more info on using coupons and RRs at Walgreens.

Are you allowed to use 6 coupons at once at Walgreens?

    • Carrie says:

      Should be able to!

I went to the store on Union/Dublin the other week, and the guy only let me use ONE coupon … I had two coupons, two of the same product… and he wouldn’t let me. First time I’ve had this problem, and am praying it is not a normal thing.

I go to a number of Wags and that store is the closest to my house. I get more frustrated there than any other store. I think there is ONE employee that has been nice & HUMAN to me there.

I would ask for the manager next time. You can use two of the same coupon on two items as long as it doesn’t say “One per Transaction.”

          HTH

        • Rhianna says:

I’ve never been told I can’t use more than one of the same coupon, but there is one cashier at a certain Walgreens who insists I can only use one RR(no matter if they are different amounts/companies), per transaction. She’s the only one that has ever been so picky so I just avoid her if possible :-) That’s my biggest problem with WAGS is the policies seem to vary from store to store and even cashier to cashier within the same store.

          • Carrie says:

Yup… in the Walgreens tips linked to above I tried to list everything that *could* go wrong, lol! I don’t shop there much because of the inconsistencies (which is probably why I have a hard time getting motivated to get their deals up regularly).

    • Sunny says:

I’ve never had a problem, just be aware if the item/coupon ratio when using RR to pay.

I must have gotten lucky last night! I bought Dove men’s body wash (free after $6 RR), then used that RR to buy Huggies ($3 RR), and used that to buy more Huggies. I was expecting the RR to end there, like you said, but it printed out another RR for me after that transaction! I still have that one … may go back to buy more diapers and see what happens. :)

    • Sunny says:

I’ve read reports that the Huggies RRs are rolling, but I’m too chicken to try. Knowing my luck they would fix the glitch before I went. ;)

      • Carrie says:

Me, too – I don’t usually post reports about things like that rolling because they usually fix the glitch at some point! :)

  3. Lori says:

I went this AM. The Huggies are a good deal too. When you buy one package on sale for $8.99 get a $3 RR. I only had coupons for $1 off but still a great deal. I try to only go to Walgreen when I know I can roll my RR in one week. I got the NyQuil deal, ended up being smaller bottle so I’m not sure if it was that great of a deal, but we were out after the last horrible head cold that past through our house).
The orbits gum did ring up for $1.50 (eventhough it’s marked for $3 something) with coupon from smartsource? it’s .50 cents for a 3 pack. Then in my bag they put a flyer that said a dozen eggs where .99 cents (limit 2) with the Good Egg Project coupon a great deal!!

I’ve really been getting into Walgreens the past month or so. It’s been a learning curve and it’s harder here because we get the dreaded ‘smaller ad.” I check the previews for the regular ad then get online Sunday AM to see what deals we have here & update my list.

This week I’ve been buying the Huggies. $8.99 sale, $2 off coupons (these are from that coupon book from Safeway a few weeks ago), $1 off from the Wags coloring book and then a $3 RR, so $2.99! With a five month old I can use all the diapers I can get. The Dove’s Men body wash is $5.99 with a $6 RR, also some coupons out there for $1-$1.75 ($1 off is also from the Safeway book, $1.50 off comes with the Dove men’s bar packs @ Target, I think the $1.75 was an insert?), making it a money maker. I’m still rolling the Joint Juice, B1G1 coupons, sale for $10, with $10 RR. FREE. Oh, that same Safeway coupon book has $4/2 for a long list of products, Benadryl included. They are $4.99 @ Wags (but all rang up $4.49 for me) and a $5RR WYB $15. So I bought 4, used 2 $4/2, got $5RR back, final cost $1.24 a box.

    Sorry for the ramble!

    • Sunny says:

I didn’t mean to say I was rolling the Joint Juice RRs, as far as I know you can’t roll them, I never try. I just meant I’m using them to have a variation of RR to use. (and I’m hoping the Joint Juice will help my Grandmother & my Dad.)

  5. Karla says:

Went to the Walgreens on Barnes and Powers. Tried to buy 6 Dove body washes (because I had coupons). The manager said I could only buy ONE a day and that they were limiting it so there was some for other customers. That’s fine but they need to state in the ad there’s a limit of 1 per household per day. So off to another location and multiple days to use these coupons. Argghhhh.

  6. Kathy says:

Went to WAGS on centennial and got 6 bottles of shampoo and conditioner all with coupons plus bought some BOGO Hefty zip bags (I was out and needed them for school lunches) with WAGS coupon and insert coupons and also used my $10 RR from last week. It took the manager coming out and entering everything again and scanning the RR first before it would all work. But it finally did and they apologized for it taking so long! Then I got the new $10 RR for the Garnier Fructis. Thanks for the tip!

  7. Michelle says:

Walgreen’s is having a friends & family day tomorrow only (Friday). At their website you can print a coupon for 15% off all eligible items or 20% off Walgreen brands.

  8. Chrissy says:

I noticed Walgreens has a 15% off coupon on their website for this Friday only. Can this be combined with manufacturer coupons and RR’s?

  9. Betsy says:

I just printed some $1/1 Garnier coupons (shampoo, cond, or style product) on Coupons.com. I’m hoping to use these with the 15% coupon to get a great deal. To receive $10 RR, I think you have to buy 7 or 8 to reach $20, because of 15% discount.

    • Carrie says:

Suhweet! Putting up a new blog post about that coupon now! Good point about the 15% off coupon, not sure how it will work.

    • Sunny says:

I was reading that you have to buy enough AFTER the 15% to get the RR, but if it’s a buy one item, or three items, RR works as usual. My calculations are you would have to buy 8 to make it to $20 to work with the 15% coupon.

  10. Amy says:

You will need to buy 8 because the 15% discount will make the items ring up less which will require you to buy 8 bottles to get to $20 to get your $10 RR

  11. Amy says:

Also, the “coupon” really isnt a coupon… they will ring all your items as an employee discount (they type this into the register at the begining of the transaction) This is why you need to buy 8 garniers to get to $20 for the RR to print.

  12. Nandah says:

Where are you seeing the Garnier printable?
