How to dry the dishes without really trying

In the category of what may be the laziest tip ever, here’s how I dry the dishes:

You wouldn’t believe how stinkin’ fast a big pile of dishes will dry with a small fan blowing on them.  No effort needed. Plus, there’s not usually water spots, either, because the air blows them away.

I keep a small fan in my kitchen year-round because whenever I heat the oven up to 450º, the smoke detectors go off, no matter what I’m cooking, so I use it to circulate the air in my kitchen.  Then, I realized the fan could do double duty and my amazing super-duper dish dryer was born.  No childbirth required! ;)

I would have NEVER thought of that…but my dishes do dry far faster in the summer, when the swamp cooler is blowing right through the kitchen.
