Thought you’d missed out on these deals? It’s not too late!

Here’s two deals from Outback Steakhouse and Albertsons that have technically expired but seem to have been extended! First, one from Outback:

If you purchased $100 in Outback Steakhouse gift cards in November and December and received a $20 bonus card, it technically expired at the end of January, but they’ve extended the bonus card to be valid through February 28thMore details here.

And remember the last few months of 2009 when Albertsons was doing the “sticker thing” and if you collected enough you could redeem it for cookware?  Liz emailed in with this hot tip:

If you were like me & tried to redeem them in January before the cut-off date, you’d have discovered that they were all out of the pans. Your name was put on a waiting list & they were meant to contact you when the pan became available. Well, the company  shorted & isn’t producing anymore. So, if you did give your name, you can take your sticker filled card to customer service & they are redeeming it for a gift card for the value of the pan!

Man, now I’m wishing I had actually tried to redeem mine – I decided not to because I didn’t want to make a special trip to get a “free” skillet (that we wouldn’t use anyway because we don’t cook on Teflon).  Oh well!

I’d love to hear if either of these tips gave you some “suprise money”!  Hope someone gets a little bonus.

bummer! I, too, didn’t feel like getting my name on a list to get something I wouldn’t really use. I just threw my booklet away yesterday and garbage pickup was this morning! Oh well!

They just called me last week and I went in and got the pan. Now, I kinda wished I just got the gift card!!

What do you use instead of Teflon? I don’t like it either but have a hard time finding pans without it that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

Well… we have stainless steel cookware that cost an arm and a leg. :) Haven’t been able to break out of Teflon for things like muffin tins and cake pans, unfortunately – but, those are theoretically not as “high risk” for fumes because they don’t get heated that hot. We have *one* stainless steel cookie sheet, haven’t been able to afford to buy any more so I deal with just using one. :)
