So I know you guys are awesome – the best blog readers ever. You know how to save a buck, and you are awesome about spreading the word

But, that’s about all I know, so in an effort to get to know my audience better, I’m conducting a short survey that I’d love if you’d take the time to complete for me! It’s brief – should take just a few minutes – but it will help me out greatly!

As a thank you, I’m offering up a giveaway of some of the goodies I received at BlissDom and Savvy Blogging events I recently attended. One lucky survey-taker will win a $20 gift card to Alice.com, as well as a bunch of coupons for free food from ConAgra, Dreyers, and more! To enter the giveaway, just complete the survey and enter your email address at the end. You do not have to enter your email address in order to complete the survey.

I just took the survey and I didn’t see a spot to comment what we like the most about the blog, so I am doing it here. I love the fact that you point out gluten free items. I just moved here this past fall and it was scary to think of shopping gluten free in a new place. I have gotten tips from your blog on where to get the best deals on gluten free. Not only do I find your comments helpful, but other readers comments. I also have discovered other blogs because of your comments of them. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, you had posted a section of another blog that mentioned that Progresso Soups now had gluten free soups. I promptly went to the store and almost danced in the isle when I saw the cream of mushroom soup. So keep up the excellent work!

I agree with Regina, since I make gluten free things for her and another woman and am not an expert at this myself, any help is appreciated in the gluten free area. If you gluten free folks haven’t found it yet, there’s this neat website called Be Free For Me http://befreeforme.com/ that has coupons, recipes, etc.

If only Safeway was as careful as you are, I would have a better time shopping the P&G sale this week. It would have been nice if they would have listed the items in the ad and then specified in the ad if the total was before or after coupons. What a mess……………..

I forgot to say in the survey that I think it would be cool to see your running total spent YTD & your running savings %! Yes, that’d be a lot of work. I’m thinking about keeping my own here at home, just to see!

You know, I’ve thought about it, but you’re right – I would be a *lot* of work. ;) Plus, I consider groceries only a small part of my frugal goals, and doesn’t reflect my overall savings. Not sure how I would count the fact that I paid 99¢ for a $10 item of clothing at Goodwill, when I would never have paid retail for that item. Or, the fact that I got something like Pillsbury Grands biscuits for free (savings of 100%) is kind of misleading because I never would have paid for it. Or, how do I count the fact that Jeremy changes our own oil? Do I compare that to a $40 oil change or the $20 oil change we might get? We save more than someone who pays $40, but that’s not really accurate because we would never pay $40 for an oil change.

I’m making it more complicated than it needs to be, but those are my excuses for not doing it. ;)

As you wished Carrie! Hope you’ve gotten some good feedback! I always hate trying to tell someone to improve or change something, or anything negative, but I suppose that is the purpose of the survey.

You’ve saved my family THOUSANDS literally since I’ve come across your blog, and participating in the giveaway helped my business. After doing taxes, I took my grocery receipts from the last year, I think I cried! I even had an issue with one of my orders not getting filled on time because so many had graciously ordered. It led me to update my own site, update my cart so the confusion wouldn’t happen later. Because of the giveaway I was able to break even and actually not take a big loss last year and everyone who did order (minus my oopsie order who was ordering for a second time) gave me excellent reviews, positive feedback and I was so thrilled!

We’ve been able to save for a vacation for my 6 year old for his first one ever! It’s tough being on a stand alone E-5 salary and what you’ve done for this family, I could never be gracious enough! I thank the Lord everyday when I realize the money I’ve saved in groceries allows me to take that special trip with my husband and son, something he needs so badly because of issues with my husband’s last deployment and development of bi-polar. I know it sounds trite that it’s just money, but it’s made something possible that will put such a smile on my son’s face!

Sorry for the mini-novel, but with the survey post, I thought this the best place to let you know just truly how much you’ve made a difference in the lives of our family.
