Kind of a slow week at Albertsons compared to Safeway. I’ll list the very best of the highlights – make sure to check out the entire ad online.
Meat, Dairy, and Frozen
USDA Choice Petite Sirloin Steak B1G2 Free with in-store coupon
Net cost at checkout: $2.33/lb if you purchase three packages of the same size
Rating: 5
Chicken Breasts, Drumsticks, Thighs or Leg Quarters, Bone-In 99¢/lb
Rating: 3 – a 4 for the chicken breasts, but the other pieces will go lower.
Boneless Pork Loin $1.88/lb
Rating: 4 – will go just a bit lower at some point, though not too often.
Atlantic Salmon Fillets $4.99/lb
Rating: 3.5
Albertsons Milk (half gallon) $1
Rating: 3.5, a pretty typical sale price these sales
Large Eggs (12 ct) $1
Rating: 4
Albertsons Sour Cream (16 oz) $1
Rating: 3 – we see this price all the time.
Shamrock Farms Organic Milk (96 oz) $3.49
Rating: 5? Last time they had a Shamrock Farms Organic product on sale, some of you had trouble finding it, s I’m not sure if it’s only available at select stores or what.
Old Orchard Frozen Juice $1
Use $1/4 printable here or from Coupons.com (available earlier this week)
Net cost at checkout: 75¢
Rating: 4
Produce
Large Canteloupe $1 each
Rating: 5 if they are a decent size
Red or Green Leaf or Romaine Lettuce $1
Rating: 3
Large Purple Eggplant $1
Rating: 3
General Grocery and Household
Simply 100% Juice (13.5 oz) $1
Rating: 3 – I think these are the smaller sized containers.
Rosarita Refried Beans $1
Use 50¢/3 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: 83¢ each
Rating: 3 – I’d wait for the same sale at a store that doubles coupons.
Campbell’s Condensed Soup $1
Use 40¢/2 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: 80¢
Rating: 3 – again, it would be better to use this at a store that doubles coupons. Though, the coupons do expire on 3/15, so it’s possible another store may not have a sale before then.
Wishbone Salad Dressing $1, limit 10
Rating: 3, a good deal, but will likely go lower with a coupon
Proctor and Gamble Promo: Buy $40 save $10 instantly at checkout
Includes Pampers Jumbo Packs at $9.99, Tide or Downy at $5.99, Charmin Basic Bath Tissue at $4.99, etc. Probably some good deals if you are brand-loyal to any of these products! May be nice with the P&G Coupon Booklet Rebate.

Wow, I’m really surprised that Albertsons isn’t better than this. With all the 10/$10 deals I thought we would have a hay day this week. That’s why you do this and not me. I might put off shopping this week and wait to see what happens next week. I’m not even sure Safeway is a good deal for my family. We don’t eat most of the items on sale. YICKS!!!!
There are a fair amount of the 10 for $10 deals that are *ok* prices – like things I’d buy if I needed them, but I didn’t seen any stock up prices or even things I’d really stock up for a week or two.
Now, if they were doubling coupons, it would be a different story…!
How would the bone-in picnic pork roast for $.99 per pound rate?
Thanks.
Probably a 3, it’s a pretty typical sale price and it will go lower. So, I’d buy one but don’t feel there’s a need to stock up or anything.
just glanced through this mornings paper and there is a full page Albies ad (looks like same stuff in their ad circular – but just highlights) but the main thing is that it says they are doubling (up to and including 50 cents) and tripling (up to and including 33 cents)manufacturer coupons again!! this time doesn’t include quadrupling. It says “for a limited time” like usual. Doesn’t specify stores so I would assume it’s anywhere in the city. So how does this change the “roundup” of sales this week? Any better deals now?
Um, yes, definitely! We’ll see if I can muster the eneergy to type them up.
FYI on the proctor and gamble promo at Albertsons. You have to buy at least $10 of other products to get the $10 instant savings. I didn’t get the $10 taken off at the register so I went to customer service and they gave me a $10 gift card. (I did purchase over $10 in other products but I did it as another transaction.) One of the things that I like about Albertsons is that when I have complained about something they have always made it right.
yes albertsons is doubling your coupon
but you first have find the douple coupon
in the albertson flyer and you can only double 3 coupons
no coupon then no doubling
Mark, I think you may be referring to a different Albertsons region – the Colorado Albertsons work a little different than other Albertsons stores.
