I checked out at Target last weekend and was shocked when the cashier handed me a catalina! Like, a “real” catalina that you’d get at King Soopers or Safeway, not the store coupons Target sometimes prints out on their receipt tape.
The cashier claimed they’d had them for a few months, and I’m curious what their plans are for them. I wonder if they’ll start doing “buy x save $x on your next order” type deals like other grocery stores. I hope so!
Have you seen catalina machines at the Target stores in Colorado Springs? I was shopping at the Briargate Target when I noticed them, but haven’t seen them at any other locations. When I asked on Facebook last weekend, the results were mixed – some of you had gotten them or seen the machines, some hadn’t.
By the way, on Thursday I’ll be doing a post about Catalinas – what they are, where you get them, and what you can do when you expected to get one but didn’t. Until then, know that a catalina is a coupon that prints at checkout. :)

I have a good friend who sends me catalina coupons all the time that she gets at Target (she lives in TX) for buy one get one free formula.
