New sales at King Soopers!
The “Cart Buster Savings Event” deals run through April 6th, I believe, and since I’ve featured them for several weeks now, I’m going to skip the ones there aren’t new coupons for. Make sure to look at the ad and then check last week’s post to see coupon matchups and ratings.
Now, there is a new Buy 8 Save $4 starting this week – hooray! Lots of great deals, and I’m sure you guys will uncover even more. I’ll be keeping an eye on Sunday Coupon Preview to see if we’ll be getting coupons for any of these items on Sunday – I sure hope so!
March to Savings Event – Buy 8 Save $4
This works just like other recent mega savings events like this: purchase eight participating products, save $4 instantly at checkout. There is no limit to the number of $4 savings you can earn in one transaction, just make sure to carefully count that you purchase the participating items in multiples of 8.
The prices below indicate the savings after the $4 instant discount for purchasing 8 participating items.
glaceau vitaminwater (20 oz) or Powerade Sports Drink (32 oz) 50¢

Del Monte Tomatoes (14.5 oz) 49¢
Rating: 4-5

Rating: 5

Rating: 3
Ken’s Salad Dressing or Lite Accents $1.49
Use $1/1 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: 49¢
Rating: 4-5 – I hesitate to say this is the lowest it will go… Salad dressing will be going on sale more and sometimes Ken’s goes for $1, making it free after the coupon. This is still a great price, just know that it may go cheaper (or it may not!).
Classico Pasta Sauce $1.49
Use $1.50/2 insert coupon (requires a purchase of beef)
Net cost at checkout: 74¢, plus the cost of the beef
Rating: depends – if you’re buying meat that’s a decent price, like Corned Beef, it’s a good deal. But if you just buy beef in order to use the coupon, the money that you’re saving on the pasta sauce is probably eaten up in the beef price.
Kraft or Sargento Cheese (bars or shreds, 6-8 oz) $1.67

Rating: ?
Kroger Deluxe Ice Cream (48 oz) $1.77
Rating: 4-5 if you’re not brand-loyal. Breyer’s is still cheaper at Safeway’s frozen food promo though.

Rating: 3
Krusteaz Muffin, Bar, Coffee Cake Mix or Ghirardelli Brownie Mix $1.99
Rating: 3

Rating: 5 – thanks, Sunny!

Hershey’s Pieces (10-10.5 oz) $2

Tostitos Tortilla Chips or Dip $2.29
Rating: 3
Lay’s Potato Chips $2.29
Use $1/1 insert coupon
Net cost at checkout: $1.29

Rating: 2-3 – definitely wait for coupons and/or a better sale

California Pizza Kitchen Pizza $3.97

Buy four and pay $15.98 at checkout, plus earn a $3 catalina
Net cost at checkout: $12.98 total or $3.24
Rating: probably a 4-5 for this brand.

Rating: 5
Irish Spring Bar Soap (3 ct) $1

Rating: 3.5, maybe higher if you’re brand-loyal.

Net cost at checkout: 50¢
Rating: 5, probably a 3-4 for the items there aren’t coupons out for.
I’m fizzling out here… Don’t see anything else that’s that great of a deal. There are some smokin’ hot deals, and some not so hot. Make sure you look at the original prices while you’re shopping and deciding what’s a good deal and what’s not. Some items are marked down significantly, some are barely on sale.
The ad says there are over 1,200 items to choose from, so I’m sure we’ll uncover some more great deals!
Meat, Dairy, and Frozen
80% Lean Ground Beef (1 or 3 lb roll) $1.69/lb
Rating: 4 – a good price per pound, but I would personally rate this lower – prefer to buy fresh ground at this price.
Kroger Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts $1.69/lb
Rating: 3-4 a pretty frequently sale price at Safeway and Albertsons, but it rarely goes this low here. If you only shop at King Soopers, this is a stock-up price!
USDA Choice Boneless Chuck, Bottom Round Roast, or Round Tip Roast $2.99/lb
Rating: 3
Kroger Corned Beef Brisket Point Cut $1.49/lb
Rating: 5 – guess it’s not going to go any lower this St. Patrick’s Day!

I think there is a coupon for $1/4 cans of Del Monte tomatoes.
There is a coupon for the Hershey pieces for $1 off making them $1. Great for the easter basket I am thinking. Can’t remember when we got them, sorry. They expire 4/17/10.
There is $1.50/1 Planters printable.

Awesome! Thanks!!
Oscar Mayer Sliced Bacon 12-16 oz. $6/2.
$1.50/1 Printable.
http://www.kraftbrands.com/goodmoodmission/?s=kraftpromotions#/section/save/offer/bacon
(I’m seeing that it might have run out again, but maybe some of you have already printed it or it will start working again..)
I read about a CAT for the bacon before I went, and sure enough I got $1 when I bought two. Made them $1 each!
There is a coupon for $1/2 Digiorno from the Superbowl booklets that were out. I used mine the other day so I don’t know the expiration date.
A first for me … I went to Kings Soopers this morning at Lexington/Woodmen, purchased 8 participating items & the $4 did not come off. Watch your receipts as they are being rung up – the cashier didn’t know why, but gave $4 cash back as all items were part of the save $4 event.
The nabisco school coupon booklet has coupons for the Nabisco cookies/crackers- $1 off two. And you could use these purchases towards the $20 rebate if you haven’t already done it.
There was a 50 cents off 2 Snickers coupon in the 2/21 Redplum(if we got it here in CO I got a Chicago paper that week out of town) making two Snickers free, saw in the ad they’re on sale 2/$1.
We did get it here, too. I know I have some and now I’m super excited…I can make Snicker’s Salad again CHEAP. Has anyone else ever had this?? It is SOO good. Diced green apples, diced snickers, vanilla pudding, cool whip – It looks like potato salad, but tastes like HEAVEN. :) mmmmm…..
oh my…
I am happy to see some free tuna again. My husband keeps on telling me to buy tuna, and I keep on telling him to wait for a sale! :)
Bumble Bee Premium Tuna Pouch (2.5 Ounce) $0.99 – w/ $.55/1 insert, makes them free also.
The pouches were part of the buy 8 promo, so $.49 each, and the $.55 coupon did double making them a money maker also. :)
http://www.classico.com/
Has $1/2 when you sign up, tells me I have already printed it, worth a shot.
Would make them $.99 each.
I took advantage of KS march event today. I’m new to this coupon stuff, but I was so excited to see that I saved 78% on my grooceries and i bought a lot of items. I even used my coupons to get 7 free items! My first FREE experience, ha it feels good :)
Woo Hoo Jadalyn!! :) Be careful, it’s addicting!! :)
$0.75 e- coupon for Dole salad on shortcuts.com- makes that deal even sweeter!
I have $1/1 A.1. Steak Sauce from a coupon book I picked up around Superbowl time, what’s the rating for A1 @ $1.49?
I just found a $.75/1 Best Foods mayo in a direct mailer booklet from KS. -exp 5/9.
There is a catalina that goes with the oscar mayer hot dogs. If you buy 2, you get a $2 catalina back. So, that makes them .49 a pack. It’s a great deal, especially if you are brand loyal like I am!
Hi Carrie, I don’t know if anyone knows this but you can only win at the KS game twice. I won a canister of Planters peanuts today and prev some cheese. Just wanted to let everyone know.
Christina
Carrie, did you get the King Soopers coupons in the mail this week – 3 of them, $8 off a purchase of $80. Is this even worth trying to use? Since starting couponing around a year ago, I don’t think I’ve ever hit $80 !! I think it is after discounts, but before coupons, so I suppose it’s possible to do it… but it would be difficult since you can only use 3 “like” coupons at a time. What do you think?
I can confirm the Bumble Bee Chunk Light White Tuna 49¢ (use 55¢/1 insert coupon) is a $0.50 MM.
I just got back from Soopers.
The Tostitos chips have $1/1 peelies on them…so $1.29 after savings
There were $1/2 blinkies for the Kraft shredded cheese, so $1.17 after savings.
There’s printables for 0.75/1 Ronzoni at their website (www.smarttastechallenge.com and http://ronzonigardendelight.newworldpasta.com/pasta_coupon.cfm , making them free after savings!)
I went to the KS on Stetson Hills today. There were still bags of Tostitos with the $1/1 peelies on them AND I found a couple of $2/1 peelies on the Tostitos Scoops! Which location did you go to Jessica?
The Kraft Shreds blinkie was next to the Tositios at the Stetson Hills location.
A couple of other deals I found were:
-Earthgrain Bread is on sale for $1.99. If you still have the printable coupons, it will bring the price down to 99 cents.
-Hormel lunch meat is on sale for 2/$6. Use the insert coupons to make them $2 each.
-Lysol toilet bowl cleaner is included in the buy 8 deal. With the insert coupon the price comes to 99 cents.
FYI-I didn’t have a problem using the International Delight Creamer coupon on the larger size.
I was at the Kings at Austin Bluffs and Academy. By the door they have bags of tostitos on sales for $2.79. The bags have a $2.00 coupon on them. So you can get them for
79 cents a bag. It’s included in the 8 item special this week, which brought them down to .29 cents a bag. I bought a few! Saved 68% on my purchases there today! Yea!
Also, KS has Pantene on sale for $2.97 each (selected varieties). This sale DOES include the new Nature Fusions, so if you’re a Vocalpoint member and received the $2/1 coupons, they are only $0.97 each. I did this last night at the Kings @ Academy & Hancock Expressway.
I got a catalina at King Soopers today advertising their Pepsi Center Rewards program. I’ve seen little tags on some products too. Do you know anything about it?
I got all excited about it until I read what it is: basically, spend $ and earn points to win “new merchandise, autograph memorabilia, game tickets, game experiences”. So, basically, not a deal. :) Here’s more info: http://www.kingsoopers.com/myKingSoopers/620/pepsi_rewards_program/Pages/default.aspx
Thanks. On a side note, I have clicked the “notify me of comments” box when I have commented on several threads, including this one, and I am not getting emails notifying me of comments.
Sarah – quick question before I can investigate: have you checked your junk mail folder?
Yes, I have checked my junk mail folder and there is nothing there from springsbargains. I did get the notice that you replied to my comment, but nothing for any of the other comments.
Is today the last day of the buy 8 save $4 sale?
I think it runs through the 30th.
Hi Carrie, This may be a little late for some because I don’t know when the sale ends but Yakisoba is $1 making them free with the coupon.
If you buy 2 of the Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs, you get a $2 coupon printed out at check out making the hot dogs only 50 cents a pack!
