Double Ad Wednesday Deals – Good through March 17
Strawberries (1 lb) $1.50
Rating: 5 – I’m going to give this a 5 even though I think it may go as low as $1. We’re just starting to get into strawberry season and this is a GREAT price!
Bunched Broccoli 88¢/lb
Rating: 3 – bunches, not crowns, so there’s lots of stalk.
Braeburn or Fuji Apples 99¢/lb
Rating: 3
Romaine Lettuce 88¢ each
Rating: 4 – adjusted this rating slightly since we’ll probably see this price quite regularly through spring/summer.

Eurofresh Cherry Tomatoes (20 oz) $2
Rating: 3
Blackberries (5.6 oz) or Blueberries (6 oz) $2.50

Buy One Get One Free Roast Sale
Rating: 3 – not sure of their original prices on roasts, but it seems like last time B1G1 Free made most of them about $2.50/lb, which is a pretty average price. I would maybe buy it at this price, but wouldn’t stock up unless it hit $2/lb or less.
Blue Diamond Almond Breeze (32 oz) $1.50
Use $1/1 insert coupon or 50¢/1 printable (bottom right corner)
Net cost at checkout: 50¢ to $1
Rating: 4-5? I can’t seem to find this insert coupon, but a couple of you indicated you got it. I know for sure other regions got it, so hopefully we got it here, too, and I’m just missing it!
Deals Good All Week Long
Whole Pineapples 99¢
Rating: 4-5 – so I would personally like to give this a 5, but they do occasionally go lower. Not often, but a time or two per year. Regardless, I’m stocking up and freezing some if they are good size! :)
Red or Green Leaf Lettuce 77¢ each
Rating: 4
Broccoli Crowns 77¢/lb
Rating: 5
Red Bell Peppers 77¢ each
Rating: 5
Hothouse Cucumbers 77¢ each
Rating: 5
Champagne Mangos 50¢ each

ORGANIC Braeburn or Cameo Apples 99¢/lb
Rating: 5
ORGANIC Rolled, Quick, or Steel Cut Oats 89¢/lb
Rating: 4-5 – they have gone a bit cheaper, but not buy much. We do see this sale every 2-3 months, I’d guess.
Fontolive Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1 liter) $5.99
Rating: 4 – this is 17.8¢ per ounce, versus 20.5¢ per ounce at Sam’s (Bertolli brand). Sunflower Market’s house brand of EVOO has gone cheaper, but either way, still a great deal. Make sure you compare extra virgin to extra virgin – other varieties are not the same!
Amy’s Bowls (9-10 oz) $2.99
Rating: ? – these are $2 off, for reference. Not sure how often they go lower.
85% Lean Ground Beef $1.97/lb
Rating: 3, maybe a little higher if you need it. To me this is a “buy but don’t stock up” price.
Alaskan Cod Fillets $3.97/lb
Rating: ?
Luigi Viteli Pasta (16 oz) 89¢
Rating: 3 – this is their every day low price, which is a pretty decent deal!
Kettle Potato Chips (14-15 oz) $2.99
Use $1/1 insert coupon (3/07/10 Smartsource insert)
Net cost at checkout: $1.99
Rating: 5 – this is actually cheaper per ounce than when we got the small bags for 79¢.
Wallaby Organic Yogurt (6 oz) 89¢
Use $1/4 printable
Net cost at checkout: 64¢ each
Rating: 4

You can freeze pineapple? How does it turn out???
I just freeze it and use it in smoothies. Not sure I’ve ever eaten it “plain” after freezing. I’ll bet someone else has, though!
Just wanted to let you know that Kettle chips are cheaper at Safeway right now. They are $2.50, so after the insert q, $1.50. I got some yesterday :)
Awesome! Are they the bigger bags?
Yep, they are the 9 oz bags!
Hmm… the Sunflower ad said 14-15 oz. I wonder if it was a misprint?
The Kettle Chips at Sunflower are the larger bags. My coupon was $1 off of 2 bags though. Went ahead and bought some as the coupon expires on 3/20. The strawberries there–$1.50 each, but ends after today, are really nice too.
While stocking up on my strawberries and pineapple this morning I also saw some organic, cage free eggs on mark down to $1.19. Not bad with the recent price of eggs, a few dozen boxes left.
The pineapples are on the small size, but the ground beef is all natural, which makes it a much better deal than just regular ground beef and the packages list Harris Ranch as the brand with no preservatives, additives and only minimal processing. You can read on the brand here: http://www.harrisranchbeef.com/products/ground_beef.html
