Tacy’s got a great question about wood floor refinishing in Colorado Springs:
We are going to have our wood floors refinished, and are finding a big range in the estimates we’re getting. We want a good deal, but not at the expense of good service. Anyone have experience to share, good or bad?

We’ve always done this ourselves…it’s much cheaper! (if you don’t mind the time and getting dirty)
We did it ourselves….not hard at all, and ours were 60 yrs old!!
I did mine myself…but I work for a commerical flooring company and could definetly give you some names of guys we use that are top notch.
Pryor Floor installed our woods floors and finished them. Excellent service and quality.
I work for US Floors-I know we’re pretty competative with refinishing. Just make sure the estimates you are getting are apples to apples and whoever you use make sure the installers have vacuums attached to their machines to eliminate the mess!
I second the Pryor floor…great quality, good price!!! Had three price quotes thier’s was the best and was very pleased with the service.
I ‘third’ the Pryor rec., if you don’t want to do it yourself. We had a great time with them (excellent quality) and they were our cheapest quote.
Thank you so much for all the input! With five kiddos and a husband who can’t take any time off right now, doing them ourselves isn’t a viable option…but I can’t wait to see how they look when they’re done. THANKS!
We got several estimates and ended up going with Dan Sanderson…he and his guys beat the other bids we got by over $500, and while their communication skills are a little lacking, the finished floors look amazing! Thanks again for all your input!

We have been super happy with the floors-they were fast and did good work, everyone who comes into our home raves about the floors! There were even repairs included in our bid, which was less than half what the nearest competitor quoted us!
