Thanks to Bargain Blessings for this one: Sam’s Club has a new one-day pass (PDF link from Sam’s Help Center) that allows you to shop their store without paying the membership fee through 12/31/2010! There is a 10% upcharge on your purchase, but depending on what you’re buying, it may be a better deal than paying the membership fee.
I’ve used a similar pass once this year, and probably will again once or twice more.. I’ve found that since I can beat Sam’s prices on just about everything by watching grocery stores’ sales, it’s better for me to pay a 10% upcharge rather than use the pass. Here’s my shopping trip to Sam’s where I paid 10% more but still saved over paying a membership fee.
