Albertsons: more good deals on meat this week

Here’s a really quick wrap-up of the best deals at Albertsons this week.  Lots of items I’d rate a “3” in the ad, so be sure to check it out!

Meat, Dairy, and Frozen

Boneless Pork Sirloin Chops (family pack) – B1G2 Free with in-store coupon, limit 1 reward per transaction
Net cost at checkout: about $1.33/lb if you buy three packages the exact same size.
Rating: 5

Boneless Pork Loin Roast – $1.77/lb
Rating: 4

Ground Round (90% lean, theoretically?) – $1.77/lb
Rating: 5

Produce

Sweet Corn – $0.25, limit 8
Rating: 4

Artichokes – $0.99, limit 4
Rating: 3

General Grocery and Household

Powerade (32 oz) – $0.50 when you buy 15
Rating: 5 – I’m starting to hesitate to rate these “have to buy 15” deals as highly.  This is about as low as it goes, so it’s a great deal, but if it would take you a year to use up all 15, it’s not THAT great of a deal, know what I mean?

Albertsons Cereal – $1
Rating: 3, maybe a 4 if you are not brand-loyal and don’t use coupons.

GE 13 Watt CFL Spiral Bulb – $1.99
Use $1/1 GE Energy Smart Lightbulb
or $1/1 GE Reveal Light Bulb – Bricks
or $1/1 GE LightBulb insert coupon – didn’t we get an insert coupon last Sunday? No databases seem to have it.
Net cost at checkout: $0.99
Rating: 4-5

Sweet corn is limit 8 – just bought some. they are pretty small ears.

  2. Free Marcal toilet paper/papertowel with coupon listed on page above. The corn on Union and Asutin Bluffs was terribly small last night, like half a cob :(

  3. Free Marcal toilet paper/papertowel with coupon listed on page above. The corn on Union and Austin Bluffs was terribly small last night, like half a cob :(
Albies Shredded wheat cereal, ususally $2.50, now $1.00. Good price for shredded wheat.

  4. The pork chops for buy 1 get 2 free look amazing…so good!! I got 3 packs all within pennies of $9.50…So I got a total of 7lbs. Making it $1.35/lb!! It will make about 5 dinners including leftovers for us…im so excited!!

  5. All Laundry detergent is $2.99/bottle. I used a $1.00/1 coupon. Hooray! I was on my last bottle of laundry detergent.

  6. I went to buy some CFL bulbs the other day and they had a special deal on 3-packs of 60 watters – normally something like 8.50 or 9 bucks, on sale for 2.99! So with the dollar off coupon (no idea which insert, sorry) that’s only 2 dollars for 3 bulbs, yay!

  7. Does anyone know if the corn on the cob is nice at any of the stores? If so, which?

  8. Challenge Spreadable Butter is on sale 10/$10, and there’s the 75c off coupon blinkie nearby — making it only 25cents!

  9. Albies corn on cob, looking good @ Austin Bluffs/Dublin. They just put it out.

  10. I can’t find the coupon for the pork chops..do you have to have that?

    • Carrie Isaac says:

Beth, I think so, but if you can’t find it in the store, I would ask at the meat counter and I’ll bet they’ll either be able to give you a coupon or re-mark the packages somehow so you can still do B1G2 free.

  11. The coupon is taped to the package – at least it was at Gog/Centennial Albies.
