Check out the Golf Passport. It pays for itself in a few rounds and it’ll get you discounts to courses in Denver, Colo Spgs and the mountains. http://www.coloradoavidgolfer.com.

If you’re just starting out golfing, there are two Par 3 courses east of Powers that are fairly nice. First there is World Golf on Galley (http://www.worldgolfsandcreek.com)
And then there is Cherokee Ridge on Palmer Park. Cherokee Ridge also has a regulation 9 hole course (http://www.golfexperience.com/cherokeeridge). Both of these course tend to have coupons in the coupon magazines that come in the mail.

My husband loves Cherokee Ridge Golf Course for cheap but good golf. It is at Palmer Park/Powers. He goes there quite often in good weather! I think Fort Carson’s golf course has super cheap twilight hours (and is open to the public).

Wow, thanks ladies! We’ll look into the golf passport…is there a fee?

So far he has golfed only at world golf and likes that okay, we’ve never even heard of Cherokee Ridge so we’ll check that out!

What are “twilight hours” at Ft. Carson?

    • Andrea says:

Twilight hours at Fort Carson are from 4pm until dark- Weekdays $9 civilian, weekends $10 civilian. You basically play as much as you can get in from 4 pm until its dark. Most golf courses have “twilight hours” and will vary by time of year. I think my husband did twilight hours at Cherokee Ridge Sunday for $13.50.

We like Cherokee Ridge, Ft. Carson, Patty Jewett, Valley Hi & The Air Force Academy (if you can get in). Springs Ranch and the new one out in Falcon are hard “links” courses. Its been a few years, but we used to enjoy going to Appletree in Fountain too. Its pretty cheap.

  7. Jeff says:

For inexpensive golf try Golfnow.com; you can sign up and they will send you an email daily of the best deals in your area. I’ve used it both here in Colorado Springs and in Tucson/Phoenix Arizona areas with great success and no issues so far.
Locally Patty Jewett is a pretty good course for bottom dollar resident prices.
If you want to join a club I recommend the Colorado Springs Country Club on T-Gap off of Union. It is the only member owned club in the area.

  8. Lauren says:

I have no idea where this place is, but here’s a golf deal you can get: http://www.adilitydeal.com/denver

  9. Andrea I says:

Best course for the money…Patty Jewett. City owned always well mantained etc. Also, oldest course this side of the Mississippi. My hubby loves to golf has been to just about every course in the city, including private and still loves Patty!
