It’s here: Frappuccino happy hour starts today!

Just a reminder that starting today through May 16th, you can get half-priced Frappuccinos from 3 to 5 PM at participating Starbucks!  I can’t even tell you how good that sounds right now.

I’m guessing some of us will find reasons that we need to grocery shop at a Safeway or Albertsons with a Starbucks in it from 3 to 5 PM for the next week. ;) (Assuming those locations are participating.)

If Starbucks at home is your thing, don’t forget about this coupon for $1 off VIA Ready Brew, or this one for $1 off 2 Starbucks Ice Cream.

Anybody know if you can get a frappuccino with decaf?

    • Nicole Levy says:

Yes you can…I haven’t tried it but a friend tried it and said that it was pretty good…

  2. Erin says:

I always order my Starbucks drinks as decaf. I got a decaf Mocha frappuccino light today. I’ve also recently tried the decaf Java Chip frappuccino light, which I liked better than the Mocha. The “light” version has less calories. Since I plan on taking advantage of this happy hour special as much as I can, I thought I’d give the other “light” versions a try. My indulgence is that I order them with whipped cream. ;)

Guess I’ll be checking this out tomorrow. Thanks ladies!

I asked once at Starbucks if I could get the frapps decaf (I’m preggie) and she said NO! Only the expresso drinks!! Good to know…I will try again!! I love the frapps!!!

    • Carrie Isaac says:

Weird! I usually ask for decaf and they’ve never batted an eye. You can also get their no-coffee Frapps, too, I think?

    • Katie says:

Ask for a cream based frappuccino with a shot of espresso. And, voila, a decaf frappuccino. I fell in love with the cream based ones to the point that I only get it cream based now…it’s sooo yummy. Since I have been either pregnant or nursing the last two years, I have finally learned their lingo. Hope this helps!

Yes! I had a “no coffee” one yesterday, a “soy strawberries and cream” that was delicious. By the way, my son who works at Starbucks (Seattle but transferring to a Denver one soon) says “thanks” to all the springs bargains readers who are supporting his employee stock shares! LOL

  6. Jenny says:

I am wondering why in the world they did not market this as “Frappy Hour”!! That is how we have started referring to it, and I think it’s awesome. :) Had the strawberry one today and it was great!

Haha, too cutesy for Starbucks, maybe?

Starbucks is full of marketing genius. Has anyone else noticed that nothing about their Frappuccino has really changed, even though now you can have it your way? What that seems to mean is that you can now as for things like extra coffee or espresso, but they charge you for it. Not that they *wouldn’t* have been able to add it in before, but now it’s clearly posted so it’s easier to upsell.

I personally prefer some of the local coffee shops like Serrano’s, Agia Sophia, or R&R Coffee Cafe – their drink menus are *much* more imaginative and with more options. But, you know, if we’re talking Starbucks at half-price, I’m going there. :)
