Audrey let us know via the Springs Bargains Facebook page that the Walmart at Woodmen and Powers is clearancing out their entire fabric section at 50% off! Most other Walmarts have removed this section entirely so that may be what they’re doing with this one.

We have found traveling from CO to NE and back most walmarts are cutting down the material dept due to remodeling and are going more for craft items and less material. We hit many on the way and back and started Christmas Shopping.
On a side note they have Air Conditioners for 109$
I was very upset about Walmart removing fabric so I asked about it at the Platte store and the employee told me that even with Walmart’s low prices they cannot compete with the coupon deals that competitors regularly send out so they chose to not use up space or employees needed for a cutting table. Some stores in remote/rural cites that do not have a fabric store within a certain radius will be keeping the fabric department. Clearly Colorado Springs has many Walmarts and many fabric stores so gone is our cheap fabric.
I have found with the coupons for Hobby Lobby and the other fabric stores and there regular sales I do much better. They are also going to more of a crafty store.
Thanks for this tip, Carrie, I do costuming for a hobby and had been eyeing some Jacquard at Wal-Mart but it had always been full price. I ran up there after seeing your post and bought it in 4 different colors…:)
