King Soopers: free deo, toothpaste, and sour cream!

Some nice freebies at King Soopers this week!  Remember, if you don’t normally use those brands, there are many shelters that would love to get some of your free deodorant and toothpaste!

Buy 4, Save $4 Proctor and Gamble Sale

Buy 4 participating items, save $4 instantly at checkout.  Prices below indicate the savings after the $4 instant discount for purchasing 4 participating items.  Most of the coupons expire on 7/31, but we’ll be getting a new P&G insert in Sunday’s paper, so there will be more coupons to match up!

There are various P&G e-coupons available from King Soopers and P&G E-saver, and there may be some better matchups with the e-coupons.  My personal strategy for e-coupons is to load them all to my card, and if I’m lucky enough for them to come off, I’m thrilled!

As usual, I’m not great at rating P&G products.  If you’re brand-loyal, there may be some good deals; however, in general, other brands go cheaper.

I have several $3/1 Pampers coupons from mailers, etc., so be sure to check — that would make them a great price!

Does anybody know if KS accepts manufacturer coupons with another store’s logo?

    • Carrie Isaac says:

Re: KS accepting manu coupons with another store’s logo – it *totally* depends. They usually tell me “if it scans OK, we can take it”, but occasionally they just won’t accept them at all. I usually ask and have another coupon ready just in case they say no!

  2. Amanda says:

The KS $3-off e-coupon reads “on any ONE 24 roll or larger or any Mega Roll pack” – will that work with the in-store deal?

    • Carrie Isaac says:

      Hmm, interesting – I’ll bet it won’t…

    • Betsy says:

It should work with the 6 Mega rolls. The ad mentions the coupon (save additional $3 by going to KS website). Mega rolls are 4X a regular roll. With e-coupon, it would cost $2.99 –50 cents for a mega roll or 12.5 cents for a regular roll. If it works, it’s a great deal. Okay, I’m done now–my brain hurts!
P.S. Do these rolls fit on the TP holder?

      • Carrie Isaac says:

Yeah, I think *technically* they should honor it – but I’m not sure that it’s actually going to automatically come off because of the size discrepancy. Anyone tried it yet?

LOL at your question – they probably DON’T fit on a TP holder!!!!

        • Joanne says:

I did this tonight with the advertised “bonus pack” for the Charmin and it all worked like a CHARM-in…
          hee hee!

          • Betsy says:

I also did the bonus pack deal. Nice thing is you don’t have to buy 4 P&G products–it’s an advertised special. I saw only bonus Ultra Soft (which we prefer) at Hartsel KS.

  3. christina says:

Has anyone ever tried to use a digital coupon stacked with a manu. paper coupon with any success? I e-mailed KS this morning to get their policy on this, and here is there response:

Thank you for contacting the Kroger Digital Coupons Help Center.
Each store location has the option of using a store or manufacturer’s coupon in addition to a digital coupon – as long as the value of the coupon(s) used does not exceed the purchase price of the item(s).

*Note: Most offers are available for loading one time per card and are not eligible to be reloaded after redemption.

    • Carrie Isaac says:

Christina, basically – sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. :) Some e-coupon companies say it’s OK, some say it’s not. IMO, it’s *not* because they are technically both manufacturer’s coupons, but since you can’t remove the e-coupons from your card if you want to use a paper coupon, there’s not a lot you can do.

I don’t endorse using both in most situations, but also can’t say not to since it allows you to *and* you can’t control the e-coupons once they’re on your card!

  4. christina says:

…should have read “their response”, not there
    sorry about the typo:)

  5. Carol says:

I also got free Oral B Indicator toothbrushes with my $2 coupon. Reading the fine print, it was either good for a more expensive toothbrush or 2 of the indicator. I may end up donating the 4 I got.

  6. Sara says:

There is an e-coupon on the King S. website for $1 off one febreeze air effects making it $.49 when you buy 4 items- pretty good deal…we use this as an anti-static spray on our clothes sometimes- it works really good!

  7. Audrey says:

There are Dawn, Downy, Cascade and Tampax e-coupons to add to this.

  8. Sarah says:

Does anyone know how many times per transaction you can do this deal?

    • Joanne says:

I did this 3 times tonight and they all came off…I didn’t see limitation language on it anywhere…did anyone else?

      • Carrie Isaac says:

It’s all coming back to me now… Seems like P&G promos are not usually limited, but doesn’t the $4 savings usually apply to “other” items in your order, meaning you can’t technically just buy the P&G products, you have to buy other stuff to use up the $4 instant savings?

        • Sarah says:

          Thanks Joanne and Carrie!

          • Joanne says:

Carrie, yes it is $4 off “other” items, which shouldn’t be a problem if you’re getting free toothpaste & deo in your shopping cart. Or if you just want to get the mentos gum, tony’s pizza’s, or marinades or something.

  9. Heather V says:

I’m having trouble finding the sour cream coupon … can anybody confirm that we actually received it in the 7/11 RP insert?

  10. Joanne says:

The Tide on the front page is $9.99 with the deal, then you can load a $2 e-coupon to make it $7.99. If you buy the 80 load powder, that equates to 10 cents a load…not bad if you’re brand loyal. :)

  11. Joanne says:

The Gilette Hydro Shave Gel is included in the Promo…
Promo price is $1.42. Use $1/1 from 06-13-10 SS (exp 7/30) to get them for $0.42!!

Also, *not* in the promo but some things I found:

    Lawry’s Marinades $1.49. Available coupons
$0.50/1 from an insert…not sure which one.
    $0.50/1 printable on redplum.com.
    $.50/1 KS e-coupon

Mentos Gum are on sale for $1 each. Use the $1/2 from 7/18 SS, exp 9/30 to get for $0.50 each.

Cheer detergent is on sale for $6.99. Available coupons:
$2/1 Cheer brightCLEAN, Any Size – 07-25-10 RP, exp 8/31/10
    $2/1 Cheer King Soopers e-coupon

    • Carrie Isaac says:

NICE! I was hoping those Lawry’s marinades would go on sale. I think I have a bunch of coupons that expire 7/31.
