Sarah commented on Facebook and said that Target’s annual summer toy clearance has now gone to 75% off, at least at the two stores on Powers!
And, Erin also commented on Facebook with a tip that the Walmart store at Woodmen and Powers is remodeling and had a bunch of toys marked down as well.
Now, if I could just figure out a way to buy ahead and actually be organized enough to remember what I’ve bought! ;)

Carrie, I know you were joking. But, I thought I’d follow up and tell you what we do. My mom & I buy a year ahead and after the Day after Christmas sale (my favorite sale of the year), we sit down and bag what we are giving each kid for birthdays and Christmas’ the next year. We write on the bag, “Kid’s name, birthday and year”. My Mom is so organized that she does a spreadsheet that she keeps for what the kids are getting through the year, so when we go back to dig out the gifts, she already knows what we are looking for. We may add a gift during the year, but most of the time we are already set. We don’t do alot of trendy toys, so the presents won’t be out of style by the next year. It’s so much easier to give presents that you’ve already set aside and are at a way cheaper amount than paying full price when the time does arrive (which I’m sure you already know). :0)…
Thanks for the tips on the toys! May stop by to check out.
Even if it does not say that it is 75% off – you should check anyhow. The store on woodman and powers still had 50 and 30 percent tags up but some of the toys had already been marked down to 75% and the ones that had not been were ringing up that way. (If it only has one clearance sticker on it I would run it under the scanner to see if the price is actually right). I found a few good deals that way today.
