Just a reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) is Dollar Day at the State Fair – admission is just a buck! The rodeo and carnival rides are $1 as well – I assume that’s per ride?
Wednesday is Senior Day, where guests ages 60+ get in for free. Don’t miss the full list of Colorado State Fair discount days!

The carnival rides are $1 per ticket… but each ride cost at least 2-3 tickets. ( this is how I remember it being 2 years ago). So not a great deal, even on $1 day. Bummer. But you can’t beat going to the rodeo for only a buck!
We went yesterday (only day hubby could go) and the lady at the booth told us that on Tuesday, each ride would be one token – and tokens are $1 each. So, the tokens are still $1 each, but the price of each ride is supposed to be just 1 token.
We got the $3 discount admission tickets to get in, and parked on the street, so that saved us some. Food was expensive, as usual, and hubby was disappointed because he thought they’d have some of that crazy fried stuff (he wanted to try a fried twinkie, snickers bar or oreos) but we didn’t see those offered – just the typical funnel cakes and such.
We took some food with us – apples, a water bottle and some granola snacks, and no one said anything to us. We also purchased some food, but the take-alongs helped us keep the cost down (and the fat content too!)
