What’s a good price for whole chickens per pound? Saw they were $.97/lb and wondered if that was a good price?
They go on sale for 60-70¢ every few months at Albertsons or Safeway… I think 97¢ is *close* to an everyday price, or just barely on sale. I’d probably buy one at this price if I had to have it but definitely wouldn’t buy more than I needed. That’s just me, though!
Thanks Carrie! When I went, they only had 1 chicken out and it didn’t look that good, so I didn’t really have to make a hard decision. :) All the produce on sale was a good deal though! The limes they had on sale today though were almost gone. :(
They must have restocked after you left, because they had *plenty* of limes when I was there at 4:30 pm. We’re making homemade limeade again!
