Albertsons Weekly: great price on turkey & more

Yeah!  Well, Sunflower Market was disappointing, but at least Albertsons has some decent deals for Thanksgiving week. Rather than give the turkeys a rating, we’re working on a chart that shows the prices on turkeys, hams, and other Thanksgiving essentials at all the stores in town: including Costco and Sam’s!  I’ll have it up on Friday, so stay tuned to find out who has the best overall deals for Thanksgiving dinner.

Albertsons continues doubling, tripling, and quadrupling coupons!  Basically, all of your coupons below $1.00 will multiply up to $1.00. They likely won’t double anything that states “Do Not Double”, and there’s a limit of three coupons per like item per transaction.

  1. The north Albrtsons had McCormick spice coupons $1 off two items right in the spice section, which makes them an awesome deal.

  2. Which page on the ad. states that Albertsons is still doubling — I looked & looked when I got my ad. yesterday & must have totally missed that!
Also, if you happened to get Challenge butter last week at King Soopers & haven’t opened it, when you do, you might find a coupon inside for $0.75/1 .. a nice surprise to ad to my coupon stash!

  3. I didn’t see it in their ad, either, but when I checked out, the cashier told me they were doubling up to 50 cents!

  4. Its there…at the bottom of the “extra page” with the turkey special at the top.

  5. Just got back from Albertsons:
-Yes, They are doubling/tripling up to $1
-Got the .37/lbs Honeysuckle Turkey, but only spent 11.66 at the register. Not sure if the $10 purchase requirement includes the $4 I spent on the turkey, or if the $8 in coupons was counted towards it. Either way, I didn’t have to spend as much as I thought I would
-From what I could see, the .37/lbs Honeysuckle Turkey were available in 13.5 – 20 lbs sizes

  6. The M&M’s are a better deal at Walgreens this week, use the coupon and with the register reward…. you cannot find a better deal!

  7. Just got back from Albies on Austin Bluffs/Union. Lots of coupons on products in the store. 50/1-DND potato buds, $1/2 Bruce’s yams, Pillsbury coupons, and in the back of the Store by the Thanksgiving stuff, a pad of $4/1 turkey when you buy a combo of 4 Heinz gravy, pillsbury biscuits, or stovetop. Then their are $1/2 gravy coupons under the label of the gravy. I also so a sign posted in front of the Turkey’s that said you got a free 2liter Dr. Pepper with turkey purchase.

  8. I tried printing the aSara lee Qpon it was not redplum I did a search and it already expired

  9. Wheat Thins Crunch Stix are included in the Nabisco Sale……..the database lists the $1/1 coupon in 9/19 SS The coupons expires 11/21 so you’ll have to more a little quicker.

  10. The big bottles of Simply Orange Juice are on sale for $1.99. If you have the Facebook $1/1 coupon it’s a buck!

  11. The Comstock coupon from the 11/7/2010 SS is actually save .55 on 2.

Also, just to prepare for the worst ($1.24) and hope for the best (.99), the Challenge product coupon from 11/14/2010 SS says Do Not Double. It’s pretty small and may escape notice but I’ve seen the cashiers at Albertson’s get pretty finicky about the DNDs.

  12. I just got back from the Albertsons on Austin Bluffs. They only have 18+lb turkeys left. I also wanted to let you all know, you can go to Honeysuckle White Turkey’s website (google it) and print off a coupon for $1 off your turkey. Albertsons doubled my coupons today, even the ones that said DND.

  13. Albertsons (at least in the Denver stores) has the catalina deal on the pillsbury rolls. Buy 4, $1 cat, buy 5, $2 cat, buy 6, $3 cat. You also got a free dozen eggs if you bought 4. There are some $0.35/1 coupons for the sweet rolls in one of the GM inserts (sorry I can’t remember which one, I had already cut them out…I am pretty sure it was GM).

Anyway, I used 4 0.35/1 on sweet rolls and 1 $1/2 crescent roll (in blue safeway book), and got 6 pillsbury rolls and 1 dozen eggs for $1.

  14. We stopped at Albertson’s on Dublin Sat pm and they had NO cheap turkeys left. They weren’t doing rain checks either. Disappointing since it’s time to buy now and start thawing. Safeway on Powers still had some turkeys at the cheap prices but the checker said he was surprised they hadn’t run out yet.

    • The Albertsons at Union and Research still had tons of cheap turkeys last night. I have been collecting cheap turkeys to put in my freezer!

  15. Honeysuckle White turkey coupon – $ 1 off

  16. Was able to get Blistex, Carmex and Martha White Muffin Mix free. Blistex is in a recent Smart Source, Last weeks Red Plum with the front that says Bake the Very Best gifts has the Carmex

  17. Albertsons on Cheyenne Mountain Blvd & Nevada are selling Butterball turkeys for 50 cents a lb! Unadvertised sale this week (thru Nov 8?). I just bought 5 x 19 pounders. Saving 2 whole, cooking the rest up with gravy–vacuum sealing/freezing the rest. That comes out to way less than 1$ per lb.
Go on Sundays during football season wearing a football jersey (any) and get another 10% off!
