Free amusement park admission for military families

If you’re planning a summer vacation and happen to be a military family, you might want to look at this freebie: any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman can get free admission to select theme parks for themselves and up to three family members (must be direct dependents)!

The deal is valid at the following theme parks:

  • SeaWorld Orlando
  • SeaWorld San Diego
  • SeaWorld San Antonio
  • Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
  • Busch Gardens Williamsburg
  • Sesame Place
  • Water Country USA
  • Adventure Island

You can either sign up online ahead of time, or bring ID and receive the same offer at the gate.  Get more info here!

  1. We’ve done this and it’s totally legit. All adult dependents need to show IDs at door so don’t leave them in the car or hotel. :)

  2. We have taken advantage of this offer twice in the last four years. It has always been a great experience with no issues whatsoever. Like Melissa said just make sure that everyone has their ID’s with them. A great way to get some well deserved family vacation time!

  3. Dwayne Jackson, Retired US Marine says:

Is there not anything offered to recent retired US Military Personnel, the blood sweat and tears are and have been the same, regardless of present status, As reason of ones commitments to our country was I not able to share in the the tribute to the sacrifices made in behave of our great country, is there nothing honoring the same loses. Can you help.

I was planning a trip to Orlando to visit Bush Gardens, on the 23rd but after being told there was no tribute unto the Retired members of the Arm Forces I have to now break another promise to my Kids, not to mention all the other which I broke while serving my Country.

But for a family of 6 its impossible to even consider planning a visit to a theme park without some sort of assistance, that assistance is no longer, is it possible you can ask around and maybe locate some help thru one one of the theme parks.

  4. Brandy L says:

I called Busch Gardens yesterday about free tickets for the military. I was told we could not get them due to the fact my husband is medically retired. I told them he was blown up 5 times in Iraq. They told us sorry. After this I don’t think we will ever visit any of there parks again…..
