Summer reading programs may be over, but there’s still an opportunity for kids to read and earn prizes! Kids aged eighth grade and younger can join the Blue and Silver Book Club and earn tickets to sporting events at the Air Force Academy, as well as other special events.
You can join here and download a log book and membership card, or you can also join at any PPLD branch or the Air Force Academy library. The program runs through March 2012.
I’ve pretty much been a complete failure at the library summer reading program – for two years in a row, we’ve signed up and gotten the first prize, but haven’t gotten back to the library by the end of July to get their final prizes. For some reason, I always think it doesn’t end until the middle of August! Maybe a longer-running one like this would be easier to stay on top of. :)
