Here are some yummy ideas for what to do with sirloin steak!

This marinade recipe — titled “Best Steak Marinade in Existence” — uses lemon juice, which is great for tenderizing sirloin steak.  (I typically leave out the basil and white pepper, but I’m sure the recipe is great as is!)

If you decide to grill at the last minute and don’t have time to marinate the steak, try this recipe, Grilled Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter.  Be sure not to overcook the steak; sirloin can easily become tough if cooked too long on the grill!

Rachael Ray’s Sirloin Veggie Stir-Fry makes an easy and healthy dinner that the whole family will enjoy.  She suggests substituting rice for the noodles if desired.

Another great way to use sirloin steak is in this delicious recipe, Red River Beef Stroganoff. Be sure to slice the sirloin thinly, and try replacing part of the beef broth with red wine for deeper flavor.

  1. Yum! We like to marinade and grill it most of the time (leftovers make great steak tacos or fajitas), but with fall coming we’ll be making steak chili again.

  2. we grill extra and then make another meal with steak quesadillas!

  3. We just like to grill it, thinly slice, and top with sauteed bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms.

  4. We love to grill or broil them (depending on the weather and the amount of propane in our gas grill), then use any leftovers in salads or quesedillas. Once in a while we get an odd-shaped end bit – I use those to make beef broccoli.

  5. I always have a hard time figuring out what to do with different cuts of beef that I normally don’t buy. Thanks for some great ideas!

  6. I like to make crock pot french dip sandwiches! Slice the steaks very thin, the pile them in a small crock pot. Mix water and a pouch of beef gravy mix, pour over the steaks, and add some thinly sliced onions on top. Cook on low all day and serve on crusty rolls with extra juice for dipping. Yum!
