Safeway has some great deals on frozen pizza this week – it’s been what seems like a long time since we’ve seen good deals on frozen pizza, hasn’t it?
Oh, and – have your calendar ready when you make your Safeway shopping list: this week, they have daily deals that are valid one day only, deals that are valid Wednesday-Sunday only, deals that are valid Friday only, and deals that are valid Wednesday-Tuesday. I gotta say that that really discourages me from shopping there – anyone else feel the same way? It’s too hard to keep track of what day I need to go to get what deals!

There are coupons available that make it free – check the first item under General Grocery for the matchup.
I went to the Rockrimmon Safeway and was told they cannot take the POM coupon. Since it’s on sale for $.99 and the coupon is for $1.00. I told the cashier I’ve had other cashiers just adjust the price of the coupon down in the past. She said they have new rules and showed me a two page policy. She said if a coupon beeps, they can’t manually enter it or accept it.
I was informed of this “new policy” a few weeks back at Safeway as well. I’ll be price-matching POM at Walmart.
The coupon policy that Carrie posted, under the Pom entry, is the new coupon policy. I just looked online, it was posted 1-20-12. So in theory according to their policy it should work! See one :)

I used the POM coupons today at the Circle and Palmer Park Safeway – no problem, no beep!
The POM Wonderful printable coupon is for POM POMS Fresh Arils, not for the juice.
What is a pom pom fresh arilis?

Just a heads up, if you were planning to use the Safeway coupon for General Mills Cheerios for $1.77, it does NOT reduce the Peanut Butter Cheerios to that price. I was going to use the $1.10 off Peanut Butter Cheerios and the Safeway $1.77 coupon to make the cereal $.67 a box, but the Cheerios rang up at full price even though I used the Safeway coupon. The receipt is showing that funky thing it does where it rings up but only takes off a penny :)
Gah, I hate the way Safeway’s in-ad coupons show up on the receipt! Did it adjust the price of the item? That seems to be what it does, but the whole penny-off thing is confusing.

Also, the Bear Creek soup mixes are B1G1 this week, and there is a $1 off Q from the 10/23 SS, which makes them $2 each (instead of the regular price of $4.99 each). These mixes make a 1/2 gallon of soup, and they are pretty good for a soup mix! I wonder if they will go B1G1 at King Sooper’s before the coupon expires? That would be an even better deal since you can use a coupon on the free item there!

On Friday the 32 oz bag of Lucerne Shredded cheese is on sale for $5. What would you rate that?? Last week 8oz of cheese product was on sale for 1.99 at KS…so it seems like a good deal?

can the coupon for california dairy products we just got recently be used towards the bags of cheese? does anyone know?
I *think* that Lucerne brand cheese is California dairy – just be warned that those coupons often beep so they may not take it (see other comments).

Carrie there is a $1.00 coupon on coupons.com for the paper towels on Friday sale. Making them $4.99 making them .83 still more than I like to pay but ehhh
Hubs went to Safeway in Parker today and the Oscar Mayer Hot dogs are $3.99- but end up being $1.33 each wyb thanks to the B1G2 deal. Pretty good if you ask me! :)
I have used the california cheese coupon on lucerne several times. It will beep but they always type it in after reading it and looking at the package of cheese.
Has anyone received the $10 coupon if they were above $75 after Safeway coupons and club card savings, but after all manufacture coupons they were below $75, just wondering.Thank you.
