World Market Tip: Use $10 Coupons To Get Cheap Chocolate

Did you get the $10 off $30 coupon for World Market that came in the mail a week or two ago?  I’ve been waiting for one of those coupons for a long time; it seems like lately all they ever send out is 10% off coupons which isn’t as good of a deal!

Well anyway, we were in need of chocolate chips, so I went to World Market and bought their bags of Ghirardelli chips with the coupon.  It worked out to be a pretty great deal, especially if you are brand-loyal!

I ended up buying three large bags of Ghirardelli for $26.97, so I needed a few more dollars to be able to use my $10 off $30 coupon.  I ended up buying root beer (and later ended up wishing I’d bought one of these beauties instead) and went a little over $30, so my savings percentage wasn’t quite as good.

However, it ended up working out to the equivalent of $1.99 for a 12-ounce bag of Ghirardelli chips, which is about as low as they go elsewhere!

Plus, if you’re a World Market Rewards member, you get a $10 reward for every $100 you spend on gourmet foods, so that makes the deal even sweeter.

Do you buy any foods at World Market?

  1. Good idea to stock up on chocolate chips with the coupon.
Food items we buy at World Market are:
    – 1 liter bottles of olive oil
    – Haribo candies – when they have them on sale already for $1/bag
    – bags of spices
    – chocolate bars to put into gift baskets
    – coffee
    – Republic of Tea teas
And I’ve considered the maple syrup there, too.

    • I should have checked their prices on olive oil! Is it comparable to the prices at Sam’s or Costco?

      • If memory serves me right it is $6.99 for the 1 liter EVOO in a dark glass jar….I’m not sure how that compares with Sam’s or Costco, but it is a usable size for us.
