The Blue Star Museums Initiative for active duty military families is back for summer 2012! From Memorial Day through Labor Day, active duty military and their families can get free admission to over 1,500 museums all around the country. The list includes these in Colorado:

Lots of great places to visit on summer break (even if you can’t get in free)! You must show your military ID to get in free to participating museums, and it is limited to the military ID holder plus five family members. The Denver Art Museum is offering free general admission. Please be aware, however, that the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition (on view through July 8) is a special ticketed exhibition and is not covered in general admission.
