Great price on strawberries at Sunflower Market starting Wednesday – they’re $1.25 per one-pound carton! I need to get busy and try to freeze some strawberries while I can buy them on sale. Last year I waited too long and never got any in the freezer!
They also have select gluten-free brands like Bakery On Main, Schar, Kinnikinnik, Glutino, Pastariso, and Pamela’s on sale for 33% off this week.
These deals are valid May 15-22, 2012.

Did anyone hear that Sunflower Markets (at least the one on Dublin and Academy) will be changing to “Sprouts”?
There’s more info here: http://www.1farmersmarket.com/welcome.html
I think it’s still undergoing regulatory approval. It will be interesting to see how it changes. I’m familiar with Sprouts since we cover them on the Denver site. They are very, very similar to Sunflower; the biggest difference is that they have a fair amount of store coupons. Their meat prices seem to be the same and they often have a *little* better produce deals.
yeah it’s true. there was an article in the Gazette some time ago. Can’t remember if they called it a merge of the two or if Sunflower sold to Sprouts, but I think the article said that the name will go under the Sprouts logo.
Has anyone been having any problems with produce you have been getting from sunflower market within the last month or so, cause that is the main reason that i go to the market, also how do i find the local ads?
I haven’t had any issues lately – I think they’ve even been in stock of everything I needed the last few times. Amazing. :) I have had problems with their produce going bad, but not recently. Here are their local ads: http://www.sunflowermarkets.com/Shop/WeeklyAd.aspx
