I’m wondering where we could donate baby needs, like diapers, wipes, and baby food? Being a mom of an infant right now, I’m thinking of all the other moms that may be in need of the basics for their babies.
I wondered that, too. I’m thinking Care and Share, will tweet them and find out.
Thanks! Let us know!!
Care and Share told me via twitter that they can take them.
Gatorade and poweraid are slightly cheaper at sam’s club if you have membership.
I believe we got 24 bottles of gatorade at Costco for $9.97. 24 bottles of water is $3.75. They lowered the price of water due to the fire. The manager told me that information.
Please – If your able to help in anyway that would be greatly appreciated. My moto is to do unto others as you would like to be treated. God Bless and Protect everyone during this horrible tragedy.
The Y is also offering showers/swimming and day camp for evacuees.

Goodwill is looking for volunteers >18years old. Call 719-867-1117
I have tons of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Can I donate that somewhere?
Mara, I’m not sure if anyone is specifically requesting those items for evacuees, but there are lots of places that would love to have those items! http://springsbargains.com/local-info/places-to-donate-in-colorado-springs/
I’m getting ready to do an update post on who’s still wanting donations, and what items they are requesting.
Carrie,
It is pretty scary here. I had to turn on the lights in our home (at 5:30 PM) up here in Briargate and the smell of a campfire would be a welcome relief. Thanks for using your influence to spread the link to this page (and thanks for the page!). Stay safe.
