Palmer Lake Fireworks Cancelled, Family Fun Day Still Going On

I just got word that the due to the fire danger, the 4th of July fireworks at Palmer Lake have been cancelled for 2012.  However, they will still have their carnival and day of family fun!  There will be music, games, train rides, hay rides (free!), and more in Palmer Lake from 11 AM to 9 PM on the fourth of July.  Find out more here.

I feel like maybe they should just publicly say they are going to do the fireworks (and not really plan on it), because we’ve gone to Palmer Lake’s awesome celebration several of the past years and it has always rained – poured – for several hours.  So maybe if they plan on doing fireworks, they’ll have a chance to get rained out, right?!  (OK, so I know God controls the weather but it seems like He likes to rain in Palmer Lake leading up to the fireworks. :)
