  1. On the morningstar deal- there is a catalina starting for them on 6-11 fyi. Get $4.00 for buying 5. Not sure if this will work at safeway though.

  2. I also tried the red barron cat deal at safeway yesterday and it didnt work. Im guessing that it only works at walgreens. zip 84121 to get a Q for them.

  3. For the GM cereal, there are Trix coupons on for 50c off one – they are included in the sale.

Also, I picked up the Fiber One brownies and the boxes had $1/1 coupons on the back.

I had to get a raincheck for the all at Safeway. Evidently, I’m competing with a shelf clearer, who managed to upset the reasonably friendly Safeway customer service, by taking all the stock in the store and demanding three rainchecks for a deal that had a limit of four.

Did safeway change their coupon policy on printed coupons? I went to the one on powers and the very kind cashier said they can no longer take printed coupons. They will take the ones from the newspaper but not ones you print on the computer. I thought that was odd and no one was at customer service to help. They had closed the desk early. Just wondering if I should go back at a different time or give up on that store.

    • I don’t think they’ve changed their policy, but I do know that Safeway cashiers are really cautious about printables because they don’t want to get into trouble for taking something they shouldn’t. (One of them has told me as much.) My guess is that if you could have gotten a manager, they might have clarified which printables they are allowed to take (they won’t take free ones and sometimes not B1G1). It frustrates me that Safeway closes their customer service desk, too.

They called a manager 3 times but after waiting 10 mins for someone I finally had to leave. I am sad to see how crappy the customer service has gotten at that store. I used to love that store but I guess I can price match at walmart and not get the double on the coupon. Walmart is not my favorite either. ugh.

Hi I did the morningstar veggie burger deal at safeway and it worked great. I bought 5 and got a 4.00 cat. I had 5 1.00 off coupons so it was 10.45. I also used that cat to get the v8 smoothie deal buy 4 and get 3.00 cat. I used the coupon in the fathers day paper ad so they were 1.99 and used 4 coupons for 1.00. So they came out to free after the morning star cat. I also got the magnum deal I used 3 2.00 off qs from facebook and so it was 1.50 for 3 boxes. They didnt ring up at 2.49 so the cahsier had to adjust them. There is supposed to be a 2.00 cat when you buy 2 but I didnt get it. But I contacted the company and maybe they will send me one.
