I live in Mountain Shadows and it is very sad to be out and about in the neighborhood and see the devastation. I purposely avoided taking my daughter to our regular park for a while as I wasn’t ready to see the homes that had been lost in the fire. We’ve been to the park 3 days in a row now, but I still can’t get over the change in the landscape. I don’t know if that’s an adjustment that will be made over time or not. And the potential for flooding is always on my mind when I hear we’ll be getting rain. We were very fortunate to have a home to come back to, but I can’t help but wonder if our neighborhood will be hit again when we have a big storm.
