Today and Saturday, Care and Share Food Bank will be having a free “farmers market” for those affected by the Waldo Canyon Fire. This includes current/former evacuees, fire fighters, first responders, those temporarily or permanently unemployed because of the fire, and those displaced by the fire. In addition to non-perishable items, they’ll have fresh produce, meat, and dairy available.
The market runs from 2-6 PM on Friday and from 8 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, July 20-21, and will be held at their warehouse at 2605 Preamble Point. Get more info on their Facebook page.
Don’t forget about Chick-fil-A’s food drive for Care and Share next week. Also, today (Friday) is the last day that we are collecting non-perishable donations and teacups for Byron and Becky!
