Update 7/30/2012: we’ve now added Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us deals to this list! Also, many of the Office Max deals, like backpacks and batteries for a penny, are available on their website.
Another week of great deals on school supplies starts on Sunday! Staples has lots of items for a penny (paper clips, folders, tissues) and more paper reams for $1.00, Office Max has markers for $0.25 and backpacks for $0.01 after Max Perks rewards, and Walgreens has construction paper for $0.99.
You can find printable coupons for school supplies here.
These deals are valid July 29-August 3, 2012.

I tried to take advantage of those max perks last year and I never got the reward do ended up buying a backpack that was already over priced counting on that reqard
I had the same experience.
I have had no problems with getting my MaxPerks…they do them in quarterly increments, so it took a while to get the credit and spend it, but definitely a good deal.
I just checked the ad; at OfficeMax, the TI 84 is “save $10″, actual price is $119.99
So the Office Max Max Perks doesnt’ sound like a true rebate – where you get the money refunded to you in the mail. It sounds like it’s a creidt you have to spend in the store? Is my understanding of this correct?
Staples has THE BEST rebate program!
Yeah, it’s a reward that you have to spend at their store, not a true rebate. I know you can get some great deals with the Max Perks rewards, but they’re kind of like Register Rewards at Walgreens – you have to actively use the program and make sure they don’t expire to really get good deals.
I love Staples’ rebates, too!
I love Staples! I force my husband to buy any full price office supplies that we need there, because they give us such good deals. We haven’t paid more than $0.50 for a ream of paper for years! Plus they have saved me so much money on school supplies!
