Sunflower Market Weekly: Seedless Grapes for $0.88/lb, Red Bell Peppers $0.33 Each + More!

Lots of great deals at Sunflower-turning-to-Sprouts this week – that $0.33 red bell pepper sale definitely came from Sprouts! Their ads are so similar this week, but just a few differences so there will still be two separate posts.

Sunflower has sweetened mango slices on sale for $3.99, which is a great deal compared to the mango slices at Sam’s. (I’m not 100% sure if they’re the exact same product, though – maybe Sam’s aren’t sweetened?) They also have a good price on their extra-virgin olive oil.

These deals are valid July 18 through July 25, 2012.

  1. Carrie- I need to can more jalapeño jelly, but haven’t seen jalapeños on sale for a while. Do you think they’ll go on sale any time soon? Thanks!

    • I haven’t, either, and honestly am not sure they will… They don’t seem to go on sale very often at all. Rancho Liborio used to do good deals on them, but they’re closed. If you need a lot, you might check out some of the other ethnic markets or maybe try Avanza in Denver!

  2. I didn’t see that Wednesdays are still doubled at SF.
Also, I’m not seeing a whole lot of price difference since the change was announced — anyone else?

    • It looks to me like fewer produce items are on sale any given week. Before there would be tons of items in one little ‘box’, now it seems like there are fewer. So far….I’m a little sad.

    • Yeah, they both do Double Ad Wednesday. Their prices were really similar before, so I wouldn’t expect too much in the way of price changes. Sprouts was a little lower on produce, IMO – that $0.33 red bell pepper sale is one that Sprouts does *all* the time.

  3. Weirdest red bell peppers I’ve ever seen! They are pretty tiny, and quite twisted. That said, I bought a bunch for chopping & freezing. Couldn’t pass them up at that price! And Subflower was out of their olive oil today. Bummer!

    • I got some decent sized ones today – they were pretty twisted, but overall, I thought the ones I got were a good size… Long and slender instead of short and fat, lol. ;)
