The Friends of the Florissant Fossil Beds are celebrating their 25th anniversary this Saturday, August 18th, and they’re offering free admission to celebrate! They’ll have ranger-led activities, as well as a Junior Ranger Music Concert at 3 PM. Kids can also earn a Junior Ranger badge or patch.
The fossil beds are located in Teller County, at 15807 Teller County Road 1. For more info, visit their website.
You can also visit the fossil beds, as well as other national parks, for free on September 29th (Public Lands Day).

This was really, really well done and enjoyable.
