When my five-year-old saw these mechnical pencils for this first time, she said this (in a very horrified voice):
“What are these? Why did you put these on our pencils?!”
And then, in a slightly suspicious voice:
“Are these only for homeschoolers?!”
I couldn’t stop laughing. :)

When my oldest was about the same age she was telling a friend that she loved homeschooling. When they asked why, her answer was honest: “I don’t have to wear shoes!?
