I’ve posted a lot of different types of deals on this site but I’m not I’ve ever posted about free gas! To celebrate the grand opening of three new locations, Kum & Go will be offering the first 50 customers up to twelve free gallons of gas at an appointed date, time, and location. Here’s the schedule:
Thursday, October 25th at 7375 Duryea Drive
Free gas starts at 12 PM; line can begin forming at 11 AM
Friday, October 26th at 1206 Interquest Parkway
Free gas starts at 5 PM; line can begin forming at 4 PM
Saturday, October 27th at 2190 Vickers Drive
Free gas starts at 12 PM; line can begin forming at 11 AM
According to KOAA, they’ll also have “discounts on food and drinks including $0.25 hot and cold fountain drinks, and pizza slices, breakfast sandwiches, cheeseburgers and hotdogs for $1.”
$1.25 for Lucerne (half gallon) at Safeway, Fri-Sun Only
We tried to go for the free gas today. Even though they said “line can begin forming at 11 a.m.”, we pulled up at 10:56 a.m. and they had already given away all 50 fill-ups. If you’re planning on going on Friday or Saturday, plan on getting there very early!
What?! That’s lame. :( I wonder if they wanted to prevent a big line from forming?
I went to the Interquest opening and it was “chaotic” at best. Unless you have the patience of a saint, I recommend not going and just using the 5cents off/gallon coupon (up to 20 gallons). They ended up handing out 25 vouchers from one line and 25 vouchers to another vs. handing out vouchers down the line that had waited the most time.
Have you heard any news about any of the new Kum & Go stations opening this week offering a similar grand opening deal?
I haven’t – I’ve looking for it but haven’t seen anything yet. I think there are several gas stations that are having grand openings in the next few weeks!
