(Of course, “personalized deals” are just that – personalized – so not all of you will have the same $5 off $50 coupon. I’d be willing to bet that a lot of you will, though!)

I got $3 off $30 and a freebie for Gourmet Garden Herb Blends, which are diced up herbs in a tube in the produce section. How did Safeway know I wanted to buy one of those recently? Yay for freebies, and a great cheese deal!

Just a heads up on the Lucerne cheese – I bought a 32oz block on the weekend and noticed that there was no Real California Cheese gold seal on the wrapper. I didn’t notice until I was at home so I don’t know whether it was gone from all the wrappers or just mine (I didn’t have the coupon with me anyway).
I experienced the same thing the last time I bought cheese at Safeway. Only a couple of the types of cheese had the Real California Cheese seal. Unfortunately, most of the kinds I wanted didn’t have it.

I got the free sour cream at ks last night no problem- i even went through self checkout where they normally scrutinize everything. I will let you know about the spinach- I was going to go there this afternoon.
The sour cream has a red cal dairy label on it. I have also used it on the 8oz lucerne shredded cheese at Safeway. Only certain ones have the gold cal label on them. I got a j4u of 1.88 on the cheese which made them .88.
Thanks for the update! If a product has the California dairy logo on it, it’s fine to use the coupon – just a caution not to if it’s not the item called for on the coupon. Even if it doesn’t beep, I still can’t endorse that as legal. :)
The King Soopers sour cream does have a red “real dairy” logo on it but I don’t think any of it has the “Real California Dairy” logo so please keep that in mind since the coupon calls for the specific “Real California Dairy” seal.
Thanks for clarifying that the Real California Dairy coupon is NOT valid on the sour cream at KS, Carrie. I wanted to check it myself, but forgot to do so when I was in the store.
ok I thought the red real dairy logo was the same as the ca dairy logo.
sorry i didnt notice the do not double on there- but .50 is still really good for the spinach. Also there were tear pads for free bananas when you get salad mixes at the store I went to.
My coupon didnt double but the guy who rang me up was pretty stressed out. He just entered 1.00 for the 2 spinach and didnt ring the Qs at all. Ill probably buy more before wed and see what happens again. Those are the big ones- 9.oz normally 3.19. I also got lucerne cheese for less than a 1.00 for the 8oz block or grated because of the ca dairy Q and my j4u took another 10% off. There is also sliced cheese you can get for around 1.00. – lucerne. On the shredded cheese only the medium and sharp cheddar have the gold ca symbol on the front.
I got a j4u Q for lucerne milk for .99c. That would make it .50 with the ca dairy Q. I read about someone else getting it that way. Also there are 2 qs for the apple juice if you got that which makes it .67 or something.
I have a just4u price on safeway apple juice for 1.64 and a 1.00 Q off of it. The 1.00 off expires 10/31.
I just noticed that safeway doesnt start the new Ad until thurs! So if you still need spinach you have 1 more day. Mine was 3.00 for 6 and I saved another 20% w the j4u so that took off another 1.20. So 1.80 for all 6!
I didn’t realize that until Hannah (one of my team) saw that they hadn’t put up a new ad last night!
What I got today and what I paid at safeway. 2 safeway apple juices, 2 lucerne sliced cheeses, 4 9oz fresh exp spinach. Paid 3.20 saved 21.12. used spinach Q from tonytantillo.com and 2 of the ca dairy Qs. Also had a great j4u on the apple juice.
I just noticed that my celery was not on my receipt- and the .75c Q was taken off for it. So this price i got may not be accurate for others..
