Lots of great deals at Sprouts this week! I’ll be re-stocking my freezer with blackberries at $0.99, and the kids will love the sale on Cuties. :) I’ll probably buy some more Bob’s Red Mill whole wheat pastry flour at $2.50, too!
These deals are valid December 12 through December 19, 2012.

Do you think standing rib roast will go cheaper anytime before Christmas? It’s the one time of year that we splurge on this type of item, but still, the less splurging, the better.
Thanks!
In my Albertson’s ad for tomorrow it says they have Whole Standing Rib Roasts, trimmed and tied for $5.88/lb, Limit 1. I will definately be buying one! Now to locate a recipe! My mouth is watering already :)
Sweet – thanks, Sarah!
Melissa, I feel like (not time to look it up right now) $6/lb is the “typical” price for standing rib roasts at this time of year. Beef prices have gone up in the past year, though, so I would guess they definitely will not be any lower. Albertsons’ price of $5.88/lb seems like an amazing deal!
Thanks for the pricing info on the roast. I appreciate it, and I’ll be heading to Albertsons to get mine this week (I wish there was one closer, but for that amazing price on prime rib roast as well as Blue Bell ice cream, I’ll drive a few extra miles).
Sarah: I used the tips and recipes on this site last year to cook my standing rib roast. It turned out amazing, and the leftovers the next day were even better. http://whatscookingamerica.net/Beef/ClassicPrimeRib.htm
Thanks Melissa! I will try it out!
Carrie, did you ever try freezing whole avocados? Was wondering about it the other day! :)
